The area was not what I was expecting, and came to absolutely love it. Wherever you stay in the city you will be close to some things and farther away from others. My husband has mobility issues so this could have been a challenge, but Uber was there for us.
James the property manager was extremely helpful and accommodating. When there was an issue with the fire alarm in trouble I texted him and he was right on it.
I love the way the room is decorated. My husband commented how we had our own little art gallery.
Very nice hotel, very quiet. My room was large and confortable. Breakfast served in your room at the requested time. Last but not least, the location is very convenient, at a walking distance of Plaza Mayor, Grand Via, several Museum and the area itself has a lot of bar and restaurant !
We were exceptionally pleased with our stay. To start things off, they let us check-in to our room almost 4 hours earlier than normal time! Then, the location was great; all the major attractions were within a 15 minute walk. However, there were two things that we want them to take care off. First, we saw that they had a kettle to make coffee. They supplied the coffee but they didn’t give any creamer or sugar to add to the coffee; because of this we had to go out and buy our own milk and sugar. Lastly, the blanket that they use in the bed is not able to be washed due to the material it is made of so it is very unsanitary because it is used by a lot of people, and would make anybody feel uncomfortable. All in all, it was an amazing stay, and we definitely recommend this hotel!
Hotel was wonderful. Room was really a small apartment with lots of comfort and amenities. Only stayed 1 night but could see it being a really nice place for longer stays in Madrid. Location was incredibly convenient to everywhere we wanted to go, easily walkable to the Prado and many great eating areas. Area felt safe for walking around after dark. Front desk hours are limited and there is no large sign for the hotel on the street or lobby you can wait in without already having a key. Staff are incredibly friendly and responsive, but I would make sure you have arranged a reliable means of communication with them in advance and let them know your arrival time if you are not going to have reliable cell phone service/data or are not arriving exactly at the hotel's check in time.
