"Healthy breakfast good air conditioning, well situated"

"I loved my stay at Hotel Laurin. The room was great, very clean and the balcony was a massive plus. The pool area was excellent, for the time of year the number of sun loungers was plenty, and the view over the coast was perfect. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot & cold, and sweet & savoury. The staff were all brilliant, welcoming and helpful. And the area was close to all restaurants and shops, as well as the boat to Portofino and the train to all the popular spots on the coast as well as the smaller villages. Santa Margherita itself is the perfect base for the area, with a calmer feel than some of the more intense tourist areas, whilst still having enough of a buzz to not feel too quiet. "We had an excellent stay at Regina Elena. We booked a room with a terrace looking out to the sea which was better than expected. The terrace was huge and had a table and chairs, as well as lounge chairs - perfect for a morning coffee or evening wine! The bed was very comfortable, the room had a well-stocked mini fridge with reasonable prices and the bathroom was spacious and had a great shower. Breakfast every morning was excellent. It had so many choices that I enjoyed something different each morning. The roof top pool and beach were both very nice and the hotel is conveniently located near the bus stop and along the walking path to Portofino. We would definitely stay here again! "

"Room was very clean. Excellent shower head. Comfortable bed. Great ocean view. You are right on the Main Street and if you open the windows you will get a lovely ocean breeze but it can be noisey until the crowds leave but with the window closed it is quiet. I’d stay hear again and would recommend it to my friends"

"Convenient location, own covered safe parking, good size room, convenient and elegant lobby bar, friendly staff at restaurant, good selection at all-inclusive breakfast. They do get fully booked, so book in advance."

"Very good place accessible to everything."

"Check in was smooth and the staff were very friendly. There is no room service but plenty of space for 3 people to hang towels. The bar fridge was very small which made it a little difficult to keep drinks refrigerated on hot days. The hotel is close to La Spezia Centrale which made it super easy to get to the Cinque Terre. Also lots of food options and super markets nearby. "

"The hotel was situated a three minute walk to the train station which we used quite a bit during our two day stay. The rooms were average size and clean. The staff seemed a little bit snobby. We had booked two consecutive nights and they could not accommodate us in the same room so we had to switch rooms after the first night. They did, however, move all our luggage to the new room so that was good. Overall, I would give them an eight out of 10 rating."
