We enjoyed our stay at Blue Castle so much that we booked again the night before flying back to the states. Simple, clean and quaint accomodations. Air conditioning works great in the room, and a nice kitchen with coffee provided (we got some leche at the store). The patio is pleasant with lots of seating and a distant view of the cathedral. Easy walking to downtown, and we found parking both days of our stay. The first day we met Paula who was great. The last stay we didn't see anyone who worked there, but the instructions for checking in and out, getting our key were clear and simple. I'd stay there again without hesitation.

Misleading description and photos
The room was clean and comfortable however I have been forced to leave this review to put straight the misconception that the hotel has a "swimming pool". The photographs of the pool are completely misleading. At best it is a plunge pool and it is without question the smallest "swimming pool" I have ever seen. In general the garden area needs some TLC and a little updating. If the idea of a pool is the attraction here then forget it!

Thank you for your evaluation, the photos of the pool are not retouched, in the ad it is well explained that it is a small pool to cool off, the attraction is the garden and being close to the center with absolute tranquility :)

Cute little spot!
Blue Castle was honestly a pleasant surprise and probably one of our favourite places. Tucked away in a quiet area, but just 10-15min walk to everything in Malaga. The shared kitchen, garden and pool were so great to relax and cool down and makes up for the more minimal rooms. Only downside was with no european sim card we couldn’t really get in contact with the host/owner during our stay when we needed something, but otherwise self check-in and out was convenient!

The Blue Castle is charming but not terribly comfortable or convenient. It is in a residential neighborhood with VERY limited street parking, and a mile from any Malaga sights. It is a guest house, not a hotel, so there’s a shared kitchen and no on-site staff. It is mostly clean if the other guests do their dishes. We only saw a couple of ants and some mold in the plaster in the shower. As mentioned in other reviews, the bedding is substandard — there was one thin pillow each, and no mattress pad. If it had cost half of what we paid, its cute gardens would have been worth the price.

This was exceptional in that the combined features of both the property and the people running it were excellent. Having spent 2 weeks travelling to different cities in Spain and found many faults (even a horror story), The Blue Castle made me forget everything. No dislikes about this place. None!

Thank you for your evaluation but I have to tell you that when I arrived at the accommodation you were well received and all the tourist information of Malaga and additional information that you claimed were provided. Breakfast is self-service because we want all our guests to have breakfast at any time. There are guests who leave at dawn to catch a plane and we like everyone to have that service.

The experience was awesome. I have never been to such a clean hostel in my life. Even hotels are not as clean and prestige white as this hostel. The hosts, husband and wife are the nicest people you will meet. There is a cute pool outside and tables to eat outdoors. The breakfast was neat. The hostel was super super clean. They even have plenty of books to read. A full operational kitchen and lots of spices. I loved this place. I didn’t even like Malaga as much as I liked this hostel. Thanks for the stay

I LOVED the room we stayed in. It had its own bathroom and lovely balcony with views of the cathedral. The room was very clean. It was definitely a comfortable stay. The location is great. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. There is street parking nearby if you are driving. Noelia was very nice and accommodating as we arrived before check-in. She was able to store our luggage while we went sight seeing.

Vi hadde fine dager på Blue Castle Guesthouse. Svarte godt til de forventingene vi hadde på forhånd. Fint å kunne ordne sin egen frokost. Og kunne slappe av i hengekøyene etter en lang dag . Det eneste vi savnet var fler glass på kjøkkenet. Forslagene til spisesteder passet oss perfekt. Spesielt La Barra Inka, fantastisk godt. Irene og Tom Åge, Norway

Hote facilement rejoingnable via whats app et repondait rapidement. Tres bon service, nous a meme fait notre lavage sans frais supplementaire. Tres gentil. Nous avions croisé d’autres voyageurs aussi tres gentil. Tout pres des lieux a visiter, entre 20 et 30 min a pieds. Nous avons ete a plusieurs endroits suggerer par l’hotel et c’etait a chaque fois une belle experience.

It was a tiny / very little room to Stay. Aircon was a good thing and the fact there is no many others at the same time because it only has a few rooms to offer. Two floors. Bathroom is for each floors guests to share. Kitchen too. Nice thinking behind it. Coffee is on the house to Make but the machine is terrible.. no good resoults… maybe a coffee/ moccamaster or else would be better for everyone.

Começamos muito mal, tentamos ligação por celular com os responsável pelo (Hostel/?) duas horas de espera para ser atendido uma vez que na descrição do site do Hostel seria recepção 24 h, demorou 02 horas parado em frente com esposa e carro. uma vez que teria estacionamento disponível. Banheiro coletivo. O Hostel alega ter o pacote básico comprado por mim. Alegação esdruxula porque passamos pela Espanha por 27 cidades, 17 hotéis com carro. Por que haveria eu de contratar hotel sem estacionamento disponível e sem banheiro privativo; se a viagem inteira foi com estas condições. Enfim experiência lamentável muito devido sabermos que havia apartamentos com banheiro interno e a reserva não ser da descrição contratada.

Rapporto qualità-prezzo pessimo.
La piscina (2x1m) non era utilizzabile perché l'acqua era sporca. La finestra non si chiudeva correttamente, il bagno privato era minuscolo. Check in e check out erano automatici.

Confort un peu à l'écart de la ville
La villa est un peu éloignée de la ville mais cela reste faisable à pieds. Nous avions la chambre avec salle de bain et terrasse. Les extérieurs sont très jolis. Le seul hic une salle de bain commune était adossée à notre chambre et nous avons eu beaucoup de bruit la nuit.

It was a pretty nice place. The rooms were tidy but the bathrooms could have been a bit more clean. The service was very nice. The community kitchen was pretty good but we didn't cook there.

Good place
Todo perfecto muy limpio a 15 o 20 minutos de el centro andando, esta regentado por familia y son muy amables, unico pero es el de siempre en ciudades de playa que por la noche sin aire acondicionado no se duerme bien... pero es algo que ya sabes cuando reservas, cocina, piscina, gran patio exterior, puedes hacer barbacoa, plancha.
