Would not recommend the hotel
Hotel is quite old. The wall paper was peeling off and the blue pillows were questionable . Pool was not what we expected and breakfast was average.

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The hotel bathrooms needs updating and aircon wasn’t very good. The view from our balcony overlooking the harbour was stunning.

I don't like the fact that all the entertainment was in English . We come to Spain to enjoy Spanish culture ! Sorry but it was very disappointing ! All you care about is British clients ? ...this should change !

The pool suite was gorgeous! The staff was extremely helpful and we received a very warm welcome from Jordy, who was wonderful. We only wish we had researched the area better as it appears to cater to an older crowd. We are a couple in our 30s and by no means looking for a party scene. But this hotel and surrounding area was not what we had imagined. Our only possible issue with the hotel was that the pool in our suite was not ready when we arrived so we spent the day out.... when we had originally planned to spend the day in that private pool. The next day was cloudy and cold so the pool was not an option for us to consider. In the end, we didn’t get to enjoy the pool, which was the key selling point for us booking this room. Jordy had recommended Mesquida beach and visiting the Drach caves - both excellent recommendations. Thank you Jordy! The buffet style restaurant offers a good number of options. Overall, this is a very clean and well run hotel in a sleepier part of Mallorca.

Good hotel
My wife and i stayed for a week. Initially booked a mountain view and the hotel gave us a free upgrade of the marina/sea view. Lovely view!! Big rooms with comfy beds and pillows. There were free coffee inside the room. The pool has a nice size. water was a bit cold tho.. We didn’t have a hard time finding a pool bed, even though people were reserving the beds. ( like in all hotels) The hotel obviously cannot control this, but it was nice that it was actually written on the door that saving bed is prohibited. The Entertainments were good as well. The food was so-so. Could be better- obviously focusing more to their English guests as the food were typically English.

when we arrived there was no electricity and no food given to us upon request however some staff who was “Dani” had provided us with some sandwich.. I had complained and never got me another room aa things were not working fine.. Other staff dining staffs and bar boy was excellent and a great support!!!! others were also later on good

I am very disappointed with my recent stay. We paid extra for a terrace balcony and pool view, instead we got a view of a dirty roof and could not see the pool even in the distance. Also our WIFI did not work at all in our room, we tried on 3 different devices. Because of this we incurred a large data bill from my mobile provider. I complained to the hotel about the wifi and the view but they said there was no room available. I then emailed later asking for at least reimbursement for this extra data charge and I received a very rude email response staying that their wifi is perfect, despite my providing images and screenshots proving the issue. The bathroom look clean and new on the website images but the marble has yellow stains on it and the bath had marks and looked as though has not been thoroughly cleaned. I'm overally very disappointed with our room, the wifi and the customer serivce. I waited a week and a half for the team to email me back after chasing up twice, only to receive a rude email response. I woud highly recommend to stay somewhere else in Cala Bona and NOT this hotel.

We had an issue with the air conditioning unit making a noise all night, so upon request Roman on reception was exceptionally helpful and moved us into another room very promptly.

Why 3 in Some Ratings?
The reason there is only a 3 in some of my ratings is because of my particular room. I had a room at the back on the 6th floor. The room itself was amazing, albeit without a balcony; it had the best shower I've ever seen, they provide slippers, a bathrobe and the room is quality. However, unfortunately for me, the cleaner noticed, on my 3rd day, that some mould had appeared around a grating in the ceiling, which wasn't there when I arrived. Someone came, opened the hatch and worked on it. Sadly, for the next 4 days, more and more water came through, indeed, was coming in quite fast on my last evening. Luckily for me I was sleeping on the left side of a large bed. The water was coming down to the right of the bed at the bottom where nobody was sleeping. However, nobody apologised for this or offered me any compensation and, being who I am, I didn't ask. Aside from that, the staff were excellent, especially the man running the dining room, the buffet breakfast was very good, and, overall I enjoyed my stay there. You are situated opposite the beautiful harbour, close to the beach, further along to the right, and lots of good places to eat. I would stay there again, but go for a different room!

We took 2 rooms at the hotel, 3 in a suite and 2 in the terrace with swimming pool suite. I wanted to surprise my mother with the exclusive suite which looks just perfect on the pictures. In real life, the room itself was very nice but there was a terrible smell of mold and sewage 24/7. In addition the terrace was large but wasn't maintained and the private pool was not ready for us (maintenance guy was great and fixed it straight away, but the room wasn't ready for us). The view is great, but the hotel description is not mentioning that they have 2 buildings and from the suite roof top you see a view of the other building roof top which is also not maintained and ugly. On top of that, on our second day, the elevator broke down and we need to take our lugauges 7 floors down. The hotel staff had enough courtesy to approve a very late check out (19:00) to compensate us. I will only remember that I was willing to pay a lot of money to enjoy a fancy hotel, but the fact is that it is not fancy at all.

Nice hotel close to amenities.
After having to spend the first night at another hotel due to air conditioning in my room not working (all expenses paid for by hotel), I checked in to a room that had a huge comfortable bed, excellent shower, tea/coffee facilities and fridge. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels.Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold buffet, fresh fruit (was divine) and a selection to cater for everyone's needs. Hotel staff were polite and friendly. My only moan was that the kettle stopped working properly and when I took it to reception on day 5 of my stay it still hadn't been replaced with a new one by the time I left on day 7. I will definitely stay here again as the hotel is right on the harbour, quiet and caters for single travellers.

We has a lovely 6nts stay at the Catalonia There was a slight hiccup over the room as had to stay in a smaller room for 1 night. This made no difference as all the staff were so friendly and efficient. Food was excellent and plenty of fresh choices to be had. The hotel has a lovely view over the marina at the front and a beautiful view over the mountains at the rear (which gets the sun all day) Lovely relaxing stroll to Cala Millor along the seafront. I will be returning later this year with my wife. Many thanks to the Catalonia for a wonderful holiday.

Very well positioned hotel.
Not very happy with the room we were given, on the first floor at the back of hotel very close to the road that runs at back of hotel. Could hear the bins being emptied in the morning. We did ask if there were any other rooms available but unfortunately the hotel was full. Saying all that the room was very comfortable and we did get the sun on the balcony late afternoon. The food was very good no complaints, plenty of choice. The hotel has a very relaxed pace and the staff are lovely.

Perfect break by the marina

Comfortable room and relaxing stay
Overall the hotel exceeded my expectations for the 3-4 start ratings! The style was modern and beautiful, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, the facilities were tidy and excellent. This review would be a perfect 5 on each rating if it were not for the following faults: Upon arriving my room wasn't as clean as I would expect, the odd hair here and there wasn't ideal, likewise the kettle had little water in before I used it - I wonder how long that had been there. This doesn't phase me but throughout the course of my stay it was apparent that the cleaners didn't have enough time to finish the rooms to the standard you usually get elsewhere - often my tea tray wasn't replenished, there would be footprints in the bath or the shower head would be left hanging etc. Another loss of a star was for the staff, firstly they didn't seem to know where their pick up point was for excursions and this worried me my whole trip having booked many and i wondered where my shuttle would pick me up at the end of my stay. Luckily I called each company ahead of my pick up time to check and I found they all had a different idea - it would have been great if the staff at the hotel could have been more helpful with this. There were also SEVERAL members of staff who would whistle and cat call me every day, more than once a day. As a 22 year old female solo traveller this made me feel very awkward and I spent most of my time outside of the hotel.

Hotel overlooking harbour and close to beach.
Had been told about this hotel and came recommended to us. Not disappointed on arrival, staff friendly and helpful, stayed in room 433 which is at back of hotel. Back of hotel is quieter and looks towards the local hills. Front is noisier as it looks over the harbour and the bars but more to look at in the day, your choice really. Only disappointing point was entertainment, not heavily advertised by hotel and not well attended from what we saw, plenty of local bars to go too though. Rope & Anchor bar next door very good for food and drink as well and cater for special diets. Food in the hotel was buffet style and a good choice, plenty of local bars and cafes and only 10 mins walk to Cala Millor centre and the route passes lots of bars etc so a pleasant way along the front. Would return to this hotel. Nice swimming pools indoor and out, gym limited but nice sun lounging area and terrace including bar and cafe by the pool.
