Good hotel with some improvements
Great hotel with lots of activities and pools to use. The room itself was fine and although there was a kitchen in it, there were very few utensils and nothing to wash or clean dishes. The buffet breakfast and dinner were impressive with the amount of choice, but the quality of the food was not great, and given the price for this I would have expected better. The staff at reception didn't seem to know what was going on at the hotel as I asked a couple of questions throughout the trip (restaurant opening times etc) and they didn't know but told me to look up the app. Overall a good hotel but a few improvements would make the stay even better.

Very good.
Enjoyed an 8 night stay as family of 4. Generally excellent. New aircon law in Spain meant that some area were uncomfortably warm. Bedroom also warm at times. Food very good. Pools very good. Staff amazing. Would recommend to any family with young children.

Roof terrace room is fabulous, though not perfect due to inability to lock door to terrace. Swim up rooms look ideal for those with young children. Whole hotel is family friendly and the pools, slides and activities are very good. Only ate at hotel once, apart from breakfast (which was fab) the lunch time meals were ok, but nothing special. Good on site supermarket, but big and cheaper one 10 mins walk away. Facilities at the hotel are wonderful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Walk to beach and shops/bars is about 10 mins, need to cross a busy road, but nothing major.The shuttle from the airport to the resort is too long and that is the only reason we would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Amazing second stay
Our second time back. Highly recommend a swim-up room as has a balance of privacy and having the pool right there. This place is amazing - great food, service and so clean all the time

There are so many activities for kids, it's like a holiday resort. The food variety was amazing. The only downfall was that rooms aren't made on a Wednesday and we weren't made aware of it.

Really lovely hotel, didn’t really need to leave the resort it had everything you needed including a supermarket. Only thing for us is that the door to the roof top terrace doesn’t lock and that’s standard if you ask reception- felt a bit unsafe having our 4 year old in the lounge area sleeping

Clean, spacious, very friendly staff. Only downside is how cold the swimming pools are, don’t expect them warm but they were like swimming in ice.

Convenient for families. But the ring my husband gave me for my 40th was stolen from the side of the bed, it wasn’t not expensive and still disappeared, so not very happy about that.

Great hotel for families with kids
Great few days at this well kept hotel. Superb pool for my 3 year old and she loved mini disco. Very spacious apartment room only low point was poor toiletries which didn’t really matter to us. Can’t fault lovely staff and superb mini club. Beach is gorgeous and 10mins Walk away with 3 year old in buggy. We will hopefully return again.

Enjoyable stay
Last minute booking due to flight disruption. Excellent service with a welcome drink. Comfy room. Lovely food. Evening entertainment was good. Not much for young children to do as small pool but great place for adults and excellent value for money.

Let down by Hotel.Com.
On the whole, i was happy with our stay at this hotel. The grounds are lovely, its very family orientated and its not too far from the centre and the beach. The food is very nice. On the downside, i booked with Hotel.com for 3 adults and 1 infant. When we arrived I was told the booking was only for 2 adults and an infant and that i had to pay a considerable amount on top of what i had already paid for the third adult. We only went for a short break and this made the whole thing very expensive for me and i wouldnt have booked this for the total cost i ended up paying, it really wasnt worth that money. Be aware when you are booking for more than 2 adults!!. I was also charged for the use of the cot for my grandson. I am not sure if this is standard practice now but it does seem a little unfair to me.

Lovely hotel for kids
Lots of kids activities. Outdoor swimming pools were freezing even though temp was 20 degrees. Food was amazing, worth getting all inclusive. Lots of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Bit dated but kept nice
Rooms were a bit dated but overall the hotel and staff were very good. Son loved the pool but it was a bit cold on some days as we went in early May.

Lovely stay
We enjoyed our stay at Viva Can Picafort. It's a very nice hotel, although one can feel it could do with a spruce up. We enjoyed the outdoor pools and the food and that it was so close to the beach. One flaw was that their hotel jacuzzi and their indoor pool was not warm.

top quality , and well priced for time of year
we were there for a few days at the very end of the season , and you could feel the place winding down which was perfect for us , we were there to get away for a few days from the damp rainy weather and life stress... other people seemed put out by the fact that everything wasn't open and "on the go" so avoid this week if you want everything to be available for our part we enjoyed the quietness, the sun was shining and the price at the end of october , was great teenage kids were not impressed at the wifi , as our room was in the middle of 2 servers , so best wifi was to be found at the bathroom sink . the sofa bed was not comfortable , as we are all effectivly grown ups , but would easily be ok for younger kids

Ideal family resort.
5 night stay, Ist apartment very dull, no sun at all at any time. Apartment very spacious with tiny kitchen alcove. Very clean. Bathroom ideal with large shower and separate sink area. Plenty outdoor sun beds around various pools. Indoor pool small and crowded with families, not suitable for swimming. Grounds clean and tidy. Plenty staff working around and supervising pools. Upgraded for 2 nights to Royal Suite at 40 euros per night. Hot tub faulty, took 3 visits by maintenance and 9 hrs to get it to heat sufficiently. Staff very helpful and friendly. Cannot comment on food, ate locally.

Not entirely impressed with Expedia and the transfers. Had to call Expedia on arrival to sort out transfers and spent 40 minutes On my mobile. Not a good start to holiday. Arrived after nearly 3 hours. Lovely clean hotel. Staff very helpful. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The hotel is geared towards families with young children. My teenager was bored stiff. Entertainment similar to Butlins. Food repetitive and was like school dinners very bland! Restaurant times too rigid - dinner was 6pm to 8.45pm?? The sandwiches on offer were all ham and cheese. If you didn't eat pork there was no alternative. One bar open at one time so constant queuing. 3 people serving 500 guests! the staff were fabulous and worked so hard. Pools were nice with some activities. Hated the fact you had to set alarm to get up early to reserve sun beds. Got cabin fever after 3 days and needed to walk to beach. Only 10 minute walk and lots of places to eat and drink. Overall a very nice hotel but would not return.
