Platanias Hotel Guide - Manousakis Winery hotels in Platanias, Greece.

"Property was very clean with two excellent pools. There were also lots of sunbeds both next to the pool and facing the sea (private beach but beach is filled with pebbles and rocks- so not the sandy type). The hotel had a great view of the sunset which can be seen very easily from the sunbeds. We had breakfast every morning and had dinner once. Both were amazing. Menu was small but this just meant all the foods were cooked fresh and tasted amazing. Rooms, showers etc were all clean and spacious with balconies. We got a room with a city view so the view was just facing the building opposite so I would recommend getting a Seaview (though the price of city view was very cheap). Free beach towels were also provided which was great. Also fast free Wi-Fi. If you walk along the coast towards Chania - you can access 3/4 beaches within 20 min walking distance. All excellent beaches. There is grocery store across the street, but it was very overpriced. Would recommend going to one of the bigger stores like Lidl or local supermarket that are within walking distance. Was disappointed with the restaurant options nearby- nothing else was that exceptional. Would recommend going into Chania since there are lots of good options there. There is a bus that comes by every hour- ask reception about bus timetables because information online seems outdated. "

"Fantastic family run property with lovely hosts. Great apartment. However if you have mobility issues there are lots of steps and it is up a gentle hill/slope. Owners are lovely and helpful I’d go back if it wasn’t for the pool area. I have mobility issues and could barely get around the pool due to the sun beds and close proximity to the pool/water Not for the disabled However for everyone else it’s fantastic. Lovely poolside bar open all day. No bar st night but closest restaurant less than one minute away Very close to everything but quiet "
