"We visited Balito with a family of 7 and had the most wonderful stay. The hotel is small but updated and it is run by a wonderful family who makes you feel at home. The pool area is lovely and the breakfast and coffee is perfect in the morning. The rooms were good for our large family (we had two rooms with 3 beds each) and the area is very walkable. It’s about a 14 min walk to the beach (with my slower children) and a 10 min taxi into Chania. There is also a bus to take you to town and some of the other beaches that stops nearby but we didn’t do it because of elders in our group. There is a taverna around the corner that was amazing. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and will be back again if we return to Crete. "

"We had a family of 3 generations staying at the house. Lots of room for everyone. The pool was good for everybody. We enjoyed being out of the city but not very far away. We had those country roads figured out by the time we left and our favorite routes into town."

"Amazing location - five minutes drive to the beach and the Agia Marina neighborhood, stores, supermarkets, etc. In the same time we enjoyed full privacy and tranquility. Five fully furnished bedrooms with private bathrooms - nicely designed and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might think of and beyond. Our kids enjoyed the perfectly maintained pool and the garden - so many different plants and flowers, surrounded by a genuine olive forest. Not to mention the view!!! "We have recently returned from a fabulous two weeks at this wonderful villa. The villa is situated in the hills and has everything that you need for a relaxing holiday. It is spacious, clean, well equipped and has excellent air conditioning and WiFi. The villa has a large balcony that spans the width of the property. From the balcony there are steps that lead down towards a large garden and then to a private pool. The pool is big enough to swim and deep enough for jumping in! The pool was cleaned regularly during our stay. There are stunning views of the sea and mountains from all parts of the villa. Helen and Mike the owners of the property are super friendly and extremely helpful. They answered any questions that we had quickly and were happy to help. We had a hire car for the duration of our stay and I feel like it was necessary to access the villa and explore the area. The villa is tucked away but is close to many amenities that are easy to reach by car.We loved our stay and had a brilliant holiday from start to finish. "
