"Property was an eclectic beautiful place. Our stay was awesome and romantic! The alleyway to the hotel was a bit alarming at first because it felt a bit off the beaten path. After 24hrs we became accustomed to the area and felt much better. Hotel staff obtained a taxi for us that met us exactly on time in the alley by the hotel. It was a perfect place to stay!"

"Definitely the case of “you get what you paid for “. I chose this because we were on a tight budget and we needed the room just to sleep. Turned it was a good choice. Location was great, only a few blocks behind “expensive hotels”. We had a triple room, so it was roomier. The room was cleaned everyday, tea and coffee in the lounge area, but no milk provided and freshness was questionable. You guys should clean the fridge, a bit of food left behind that are way past the ‘used by’ date."

"El Born was perfectly located adjacent to the gothic quarter and across the street from train and bus stations. The metro and beach were also easily walkable. We would stay here again! Guillermo was super friendly and helpful. We felt welcome and that he would accommodate whatever needs we had. Water pressure was great and got plenty hot. "Very disappointed that this is advertise as a hotel and misleading for those expecting a more upscale experience. The service is probably one of the best in the city, with amazing people ready to help with anything you need. Unfortunately, this a hostel —not a hotel— and as such is missing vital add-ons like ACs. The room and the lobby are even hotter than outside (especially during summer days when it hits 35 degrees celcius). Our shower was clogged and the tiny AC in the room was broken, same...

"This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Some of their staff are rude and unwelcoming, they charge like a hotel but don’t clean your room (was there 9 days). I knew there was a shared bathroom but during the second weekend they closed two bathrooms for private rooms and left only ONE shower and ONE toilet for 10 rooms. It is extremely bad, not even that close to gothic quarter to even make it worth. "

Great Hotel
"The hotel smells amazing and looks so clean and inviting the moment you walk into the lobby. Check-in was quick and the person who checked me in gave me some helpful tips for my stay. The room was overall very clean and the bed was large and very comfortable. The only reason cleanliness was not 5 stars is because there were long brown hairs left on the floor of the room, even after housekeeping came and tidied up. Not a fan of other people's hair in my space. Other than that, I cannot find anything negative about this hotel and would definitely stay again. It had every amenity that a traveler could desire and was located right beside a metro stop which made traveling the city easy. It was also a short 15 minute walk to areas such as Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. Despite the noise outside in the street, it was very quiet in my inward facing room. I really look forward to styaing here again!"
