"We loved our stay in Wirksworth. Such a lovely area for walking and cycling which we were after. The cottage was lovely. Very comfy beds, great sofa and fab log burner. "Really lovely property, nice and cosy. Only small bugbear is that some kitchen items were grimy/icky to the point that we bought cutlery from Boyes to use. Regarding parking, we have a long car (wide estate) but it has good manoeuvrability. Having said that, it was a parking space that we had to reverse out of and then down the entry lane. So we were fine with one person guiding (to avoid the stone walls) but it might not be good for some cars"

Perfect cottage for our family.

"We had a really great time here. Going anywhere with 2 young boys is always a worry with how suitable it would be, but The Coach House was perfect. They absolutely loved the bunk beds and the play area outside. We had more than enough space for the 4 of us. A comfortable and interesting place to stay.

"The Old Lock Up was clean,warm, and welcoming. I stayed for 3 nights in the Solicitor's room, which I found pleasant and characterful, with a comfortable bed and a good sized ensuite. It was very quiet with really thick walls. The breakfast was great and beautifully cooked. The property is well situated a short walk from the centre of Wirksworth. I managed it easily even with a sprained ankle. I had a very pleasant stay."
