The room was spacious and clean, the big bed was very comfortable, we paid for breakfast separately but found it very reasonable and a very good selection. The food was quality produce. But my highest praise goes to the courtesy and service level provided by the staff. We had issues on our journey to the hotel and they could not of been more helpful and considerate. We will definitely be looking to stay here again.

The room was lovely (room 5) with a very comfy bed, decent enough facilities, but no complimentary biscuits, which is unusual, but understandable in these times. The staff are very friendly and helpful, rushed off their feet as most places, but knew what they were doing. Food was lovely and varied, breakast and dinner

Bakewell visit

Staying to attend a party in the local village . Have stayed here many times for business and it has always been first class. Food is excellent the steak and lamb pies are to die for.

Lovely hotel/pub

Friendly hotel close to Chatsworth house. Reasonably priced, comfortable and clean room. The food was very good as was the breakfast. Friendly staff too. There are EV chargers in the car park which is a bonus.

A lovely warm

We had a 3 day break mountain bike around the area of Bakewell and the accommodation was an ideal location

No check in when arrived manager on a break and no one else trained so had to wait , got no apology he he felt why should he apologise for been on a break !!!!! I had travelled with my American friends all day and we were all left furious at his attitude. I had booked in for dinner which I cancelled and we ate at the peacock in we received fantastic customer service . Will not be returning very disappointed

Staff very friendly and helpful .We were going to be very late in after leaving Glasgow at18-00 they went out of their way to accommodate a late arrival ,which in the end we did not need arriving at 10-45.Rooms great and breakfast extremely good.

Surpassed my expectations for a Marstons!

The location, building, restaurant and room were all amazing. Done to a really good standard. Staff were super friendly and lovely. Food was also great. We were really pleasantly surprised, as we weren't expecting such a great stay in a Marstons!

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a family wedding up the road. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. The bed was so comfy. We had tea in the restaurant on our first night and the food was great, well worth booking a meal if you are staying over. The staff have been welcoming and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to coming back!

Well placed pub, very helpful staff.

The bathrooms are tired and alrhough the linens and towels were clean the room and bathroom had not been very well cleaned. I’m not looking for dirt but the dog paw on the mirror opened the door to suspicion really - we didn’t have a dog with us. Despite that the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. I’d like to say this is great value for money but the clean staff need some supervision. Thank you everyone else.
