I loved the Onsen especially the outdoor Onsen with stone sides (on top floor and well fenced). The laundry worked well. Breakfast was excellent although the breakfast room is a bit cramped. Room was large by Japanese standards and comfortable. The free treats and bedtime noodles are great. Overall a lovely stay.

Perfect for what we needed.

Very convenient to train station and bus terminal. Quiet location. There was breakfast and a restaurant, but we didn't use. We didn't use the Onsen either.

Our stay here was surprisingly enjoyable. Despite the rave reviews online, our first impression of the hotel was not stellar. It looked quite dated, the room was a bit dark and tiny, the mattress a bit stained etc. However, once we got settled in, discovered the facilities, including the rooftop outdoor onsen, free ramen, ice cream etc. we actually thought it was a very cozy and well-located place to stay for our stay in Matsumoto. I would say that the price maybe didn't correspond to the standard of the place, but overall fine.

Very clean hotel. Very close to the train station and convenient for shopping and dining in town. Great onsen and nice treats afterwards. The pillows are a bit flat for some western tourists. Myself included.

Great Onsen !

The hotel was an easy walk from the train station & had welcoming staff to assist with your check-in. Room was comfortable with nice bedding. My only compliant would be the hard pillows. The Onsen was the highlight of the property. Beautiful surroundings, clean & had both indoor & outdoor spaces. Highly recommend !

This hotel is an easy walk up the street from the train station and there are numerous dining options in the area. Good home base for exploring Matsumoto. The hotel itself is nice, but the rooms are rather small, if you are used to "Western" accommodations. The baths are very nice, segregated and get a lot of use. The free laundry (wash was free, dryer was not) was a nice feature for travelers. They also offer a free bow of ramen at night!
