"Rooms are clean, enough space for 2 persons and luggages (we rent 2 rooms for a family of 3).Beds are comfy. We can see the castle through the window of our rooms Staffs are polite. The location is convenient 10mn walking from the train station and ~10mn to the Matsumoto castle and the main street and the old town. The hotel has a small bath for men & women. Nothing to complain about."

"We really enjoyed our stay in Matsumoto - the hotel was lovely and authentic. I love sleeping on a futon and really loved the aesthetic of the room and the hotel. One thing, if you're older like us, you might want to make sure you can get up and down off of the floor easily before booking."

"Great staff! Friendly and very helpful. Food (in the restaurant) was awesome! The “Western” style dinner in particular … i know you’re in Japan, but the chef is great… ya gotta try while you’re there. Castle is nice. Not a lot to do in Matsumoto, but walkable. Location of Hotel is good (bread place around the corner and castle is vey close). Note: the hotel itself is not new, but it is clean."
