"The Grand Hotel Victoria is an amazing property with a warm and friendly staff willing to help at all times. Our stay in a Jr Suite was spectacular, with a deck and expansive views of Lake Como. The rooms were very nicely appointed and the staff was very responsive to cleaning requests, turn down service and requests for things like ice and pillows. The Spa is amazing, with literally something for everyone, whether you like lap pools, waterfall massagers, hot and cold therapies, saunas and so much more. The beach club is a 5 minute walk down the street and provides multiple pools, lounge areas, dining and of course access to the lake itself. Finally, the food was excellent, from the breakfast buffet to inspired Italian meals. You won't be disappointed in this hotel, and Menaggio is a great location to explore all that Lake Como has to offer. "

"The restaurant downstairs was excellent and the location of the property was amazing!! So beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Room was a little smaller than I expected but overall, I had an excellent stay!!"

"Super clean and comfortable. Not fancy, but nice. Great and friendly service. Good breakfast. Nice pool area. It is a good 12 to 15 minute walk to town, uphill on the way back, but doable. Nice and quite hillside. Great for relaxing with a drink by the pool after exploring other areas of lake como! "

"Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home during our stay in beautiful Lake Como. Unfortunately, while the view was amazing, the experience with the rental left much to be desired. When we arrived, we had difficulty accessing the home via the garage as directed due to the instructions being out of date; the remote controls for the gate and garage is NOT black, but is green and grey. Once we finally entered the home, there was no power. Secondly, there were no instructions left in the home with instructions regarding how to work the window blinds, the lights, the ac, WiFi etc; this would have been helpful as it took us the first hour to figure out how to work the window blinds, the lights etc. The AC was not in working order in all rooms but one, which was extremely disappointing as Europe was going through a heat wave as we were visiting and it made our stay much less comfortable than we would have hoped. We contacted the property management company as well as the owner, George to explain our troubles, no one came to fix. No water pressure, dryer did not work, pool deck dangerous and falling apart, no lighter or matches in home for gas stove and no amenities for families staying such as salt, pepper, or other basics. The cost advertised was lower than what was actually charged by management company. View was the only positive."

"Lovely hotel, great location. Views amazing. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very clean. Lift is quite small and a little dated, creaked quite a bit which was a bit worrying, could probably do with an upgrade. Air con in room was excellent and a very welcome reprieve from the heat of the day. Not noisy either, so didn’t affect sleep. Shower was quite small, and difficult to move around in without banging elbows and knees. Although food looked well presented in hotel restaurant and staff very attentive, thought choice on menu was a bit limited so didn’t end up eating at the hotel which was a shame…also a little expensive. On the whole though would definitely return again but maybe ask for a room on a lower floor so I don’t have to use the lift. "

"This apartment is darling and has a great view of the lake. Furnishings are contemporary and comfortable. It was super quiet. Communication and transportation to and from this apartment are not great. 1. You will need to go to their office in Como, trek 1.5 miles to their office or take an Uber (our estimate was $62 USD) to do this- which is a major downside for this unit. The company needs someone at the property to meet you or a better way to validate passport credentials. 2. This is a new EU regulation, that passed in November of 2024, the company communicated this to us one week before our cancelation period and NEVER answered any emails sent (all on Expedia account) about if we would need to drop keys off, etc. 3. The great news, is that because of this detour we got to take a $150 taxi ride from Como to Menaggio because the ferries were sold out. Why is this great news? Well, our taxi driver dropped us at the door! Otherwise, get ready for a very intense walk. You are walking 1.5 miles ALL UP HILL and 75% of it on cobblestone or rock walking paths (not great if you have any luggage and assuming you actually find the walking path as it is not something Google has yet to discover- we found it on our walk down). Take a taxi- even if you arrive at the ferry station! It will cost you $30 and you won't care! Book it for your return as well. My only other annoyance is that this place is in need of an exterminator. There are ants in the bathroom and kitchen."
