This hotel fulfilled my lodging needs to a T! I wanted two large, comfortable beds—and I got it. I wanted a separate dining area for quick meals and snacks—and I got it. I wanted air conditioning that worked reliably—and I got it. I wanted a clean, modern hotel with a restaurant, pool, and fitness machines, that was convenient to the Paseo de Montejo, …with charming peacocks—and I got it!

Rooms were great, breakfast was fabulous.. However, water for shower was not hot.. Lukewarm at best, lounge chairs around the pool were broken, we were given two bottles of water in the room... Then you had to buy water.. Only one bag of coffee /room/day. Staff were great..

Muy buen hotel. Buena ubicación, estacionamiento conveniente y jardines bonitos y bien cuidados. El único tema es que todos los días había que pasar a la recepción porque no había suficientes artículos de baño. O faltaban toallas o faltaba papel de baño o faltaban jabones. Siempre había que pasar a la recepción a pedir cosas. Fuera de ahí todo bien

Staff, front desk and housekeeping alike, were very helpful and attentive to our needs and requests. There is a wonderful, varied breakfast buffet that satisfies, giving first time visitors to the region and preview of local flavors. Our room was spacious, clean, and inviting, outfitted with much needed a/c. Being a short walk to restaurants and shops, Palacio Maya is perfectly situated to enjoy the heartbeat of Mérida.

Staff not very friendly except for the bell man he is the only friendly person. Staff lacks of training especially the cleaning staff one day they forgot toilet paper and towels had to call 3 times the main lobby and giving me excuses. The room has mini-fridge and keep turning off the electricity per administration. If you keep this policy just remove the Fridges.

It was a good experience in this hotel, the only problem was the elevator, we stayed for two weeks and we only used it two days, the buffet was not good at all. Staff very friendly and at service 24/7.

The beds were a bit beat up and lopsided. The bathroom need proper ventilation, the faucet was extremely rusted. Beautiful property tho.

We loved our stay here and will certainly return. We especially enjoyed the peacocks and the lush green lawn and the pool! Great place to stay for a bit or longer period of time. Great location!

We stayed in this hotel for nine weeks and thought it was nice. It’s midsized, meaning not big and anonymous like the Hilton, yet not as small and intimate as some traditional family run hotels in Mexico. The hotel is a two and a half block walk to Montejo, which is a long walkable boulevard filled with restaurants and night spots, and perhaps a kilometer north of the Zocalo. So, it’s central but not in the middle of the crowds. Staff is friendly and prompt.

Overall not a bad place, but has room for improvement. The fridge is only on when you place the fob key into its slot for room electricity to function. So any leftovers or drinks you place in the fridge will not be cold when you desire to consume them. Electricity outage was an issue as was the TV.

We’ve been staying here for two months. The hotel is clean, safe and convenient, the location is wonderful- just two and a half blocks to Montejo. The staff has been friendly and helpful.

Our room wasnt cleaned until later in the day but the maid was very nice and apologetic. I feel they are just understaffed in that area. The grounds and the beautiful peacock pair were amazing. Great location and beautiful lobby.

Missing some basic amenities.
We stayed in one of the suites with our toddler. The size was good. There’s no sink or microwave, which feels odd given there’s a separate room with a table and chairs for eating. This made it very difficult for us to eat there and prepare milk bottles for our daughter. They also didn’t have very basic things like plates or cutlery we could use. They ran out of towels one day so we had to use pool towels. These seem like basic things for a hotel to have. The grounds are beautiful. Lots of grassy areas for kids to play. Lots of nice seating areas with tables too. However, the pool is FREEZING even on a 90 degree day! We couldn’t swim because it was so cold. We also saw a lot of bird feces on the grounds that no one cleaned up. We watched staff walk by the feces repeatedly and no one cleaned it up for hours. There also aren’t enough lounge chairs for guests- there are only five for the whole hotel at the pool! The “bar” is really lacking. It’s staffed by a waiter who is never at the bar and needs to be chased to get a drink. Drink selection is very poor. It’s a shame there isn’t a better bar. The restaurant is very depressing. We didn’t eat there because the reviews consistently say the food is bad. The staff at reception were wonderful. We want to acknowledge Fatima in particular.

A lovely hotel, both inside and outside. Beautiful exterior are with hammocks, a fine pool and a peacock and peahen couple. Staff very friendly and helpful. Delicious buffets on Saturday and sunday evening.

The property was very clean, close to Paseo Montejo. Kids, dogs n peacock made lots of noise in early AM. The pillow were very hard n uncomfortable, but the hotel was very clean n pretty
