"We enjoyed our stay at Colmena, it was beautiful, simple and location was amazing. My favorite part was the breakfast, authentic homestyle breakfast! Reyna and the rest of the staff were welcoming and friendly. The only con, though not a dealbreaker, was no AC in the rooms, we did have a fan in our room however México City weather is pretty hot and humid so an AC would be nice. Other than that we loved our stay. "

"Its a great location for tge downtown core and an anesthetically appealing hotel but the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is to be desired. We were arriving at 3AM and the outer doors were locked with no one in sight to let us in or help with luggage. It was a little scary, 2 women one who is elderly, downtown in the dark. During check in the male employee behind the desk wasn't welcoming whatsoever. Throughout our stay, the staff kept to themselves, always looking at their computers or phones. We probably won't stay here again or recommend to anyone."

"Nice good property all up in the mix of the Zócalo. Great beds good breakfast. 25 min from everything. The staff was great and responsive. So much to do within walking distance."

"It was great in that they went in everyday to change sheets and freshen up the room and give us new towels everyday. If you’re okay with a small room and gets the job done with close proximity to the main center, this will be for you. Don’t expect nothing fancy, but it’s also not the worst either. Bare minimum accommodation that was clean and got the job done for us. One thing we did note were cockroaches in the restroom. We saw at least a couple during our stay. If it weren’t for the roaches, it would be a 4 star overall, but it’s a 3 star for a reason."

"This hotel is excellently located in a modern part of the city, within walking distance to the old town and to the metro. Bus line 7 across the street will easily take you to Chapultepec Castle and to the Anthropology Museum. We felt totally safe walking to the Angel of Independence Monument where people gather in the evenings. Also, this hotel is the pick-up point for most organized tours. Our room was large and totally functional. We took the breakfast option and were pleasantly surprised to find out that it also came with a snack service in the evenings. The food was amazing in both cases, our congratulations to the chef! On our last day, the hotel provided a taxi to the airport at a fixed rate of 400 pesos. We had a wonderful stay in Mexico City and highly recommend this hotel to future travelers."
