"This home was a wonderful place for us to experience a much-needed getaway! It exceeded our expectations, and was exactly what we needed! It was so fun to see how Gail & Michael lovingly and creatively put this home together by repurposing materials. The house was perfectly clean and tidy, the hosts were great to communicate with, and they have thought of everything! We love to cook, and the kitchen was well stocked and set up to make that an easy and fun experience. Our dog felt right at home here as well, which made it an even better experience.Our first night here, we were already dreaming of when we can come back - hope we can make that happen soon! Thank you!!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. It was just my wife and I and our dog. The cabin had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable and relaxing. The location is great, close to Salida and so many recreation areas. We have already recommended it to some friends."

"Kitchen was fully equipped. There were two fair sized queens. Very spacious. Comfy. Decent sized tv. Close to a lot of places to eat and see."

"Location is everything in this case. Sitting right on the edge of the Great Sand Dunes National Park, this place offers the closest view of the dunes and mountains from the room’s patio. Other than camping in the park, this is the only good option. We loved sitting on the patio with a glass of wine watching the sunset as it cast shadows in the dunes. The room was comfortable and clean. Sad to say the only dinner option was a cheese Papa Murphy’s pizza to take back to our room. Oh well, we weren’t going to drive a long way to a restaurant somewhere. Breakfast was included: adequate choices of grab and go items - muffins, toasted bagel, hard boiled eggs, make your own waffles, yogurt, coffee, juice. Again we sat on the patio watching the dunes change as the sun rose. We had a great time here!"

"Very nice place to stay. Animals every day around the cabin. Sit in the hot tub and watch them graze around. Had this group of bucks come 10 yards from me in the hot tub. "

"Highly recommend! We truly felt like we were on top of the world. The cabin is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The owner is very accommodating and responsive. Stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and plenty of privacy, with a refreshing breeze always flowing through. Great location, just 20 minutes to Salida for restaurants and activities. We also loved hiking along Hwy 82, the scenic ‘Top of the Rockies’ route to Aspen. We look forward to coming back and staying here for years to come!”"
