"Perfect spot to stay in the centre of São Bras de Alportel, with easy parking to then explore on foot. A range of restaurants and cafés, plus a local supermarket and Pingo Doce if you want to take a snack back to your room, to eat on your balcony. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel is traditional, but has modern air con with a lift for all floors. The rooms are well kept and very clean, with a mini fridge and flat screen TV. Thank you Monica and the Breakfast chef for a lovely stay."

"The proprietor Rose was clueless about VRBO and stated the room we reserved was already occupied. Her spouse Gino was away for the night - and she didn’t know what to do. I suggested we needed a room for the night, if she would be kind enough to direct us somewhere. We found a 3star hotel 2 blocks away luckily. "Roots was a great place to stay with my family overnight. The staff were polite and helpful when we arrived a few hours early, then phoned me to let me know that the room was ready. My children liked the hot chocolates from the machine; we looked at the pool and it was small but a good feature to have, although we didn't get time to use it. The room was clean and had everything we wanted for one night. It was basic rather than luxurious, but that was all we needed to drop our bags, change, and sleep for one night. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Faro for a similar short break."

"So this place is amazing and the room specs are awesome. The food is great in the restaurants (albeit the menu never changed the whole time we were there which was 8 nights and ws a little limited) The atmosphere is very chill, a little chic and so quite lovely and it is family friendly which is super nice. It is actually a lovely place to spend time in the day - especially by the main pool. But there are some limitations - they can not do room service (i know it sounds odd but they can't) We waited 1.5 hours for 3 bottles of wine and after that one of the bottles was wrong (we asked fo red and it was white). We had our child's 8th birthday there and we paid for a cake ( two days in advance) it arrived melted and unusable with no candles and when were given the candles there was no lighter (just poor). We ordered again (i know why did we) one night and the pizza wa wrong, the drinks were missing, the sides were omitted - it was just a disastaster and to be ones it let the whole experience down - we tried 3 times to enjoy the benefits of having a two bed suite with pool and we couldn't because the set up of staff is so thin that they cant do room service - which at 20K a week isn't good enough! its jy's not. Sorry guys on the team - but its rubbish and we wouldn't stay again until this is fixed."

"Incredible property. Stunning beach with amazing lounge chairs— with availability even during peak season. Amazing breakfast. Fantastic restaurant/bar for lunch in the beach. Only downside was inconsistent and almost non-functioning housekeeping in hotel."

"Friendly, professional welcome. Excellent clean and comfy room with great views across the marina. Lovely staff at reception, in the dining room and bar, and also the boat pilot that took us to the beach. Fantastic breakfast, wonderful fresh fruit selection, and perfect piano background music. Definitely recommend."
