"Breakfast was great. Old smelly carpets in the hall and rooms. Need an update."

"Our recent stay was okay there was definitely room for improvement. We stay at this hotel as it is pet friendly and very accommodating. During this stay however we found the customer service lacking. On two occasions the hotel employees did not want to help us with requests. We asked for a fork and was told no forks and then we wasted water on our bed sheets and was told we have no comforters Definitely need to work on helping customers "

"You have to oark a block away from the hotel The hotel requires a deposit that can only be paid with a credit card. No debit or virtual visa. The room was very expensive and very outdated. The furniture is old and the finish was coming off. The toilet didn’t flush properly. Not a good experience and I will not be back. I booked the room in December for $235/night but when I got there to pay for my reservation the price had gone up to $339/night."

"The place was nice and clean. The commute to downtown Halifax for outings, the waterfront and museums is easy with a car. The kitchen is fully loaded with everything needed to cook for yourself if you so choose. We appreciated the available towels, iron, hair dryer, etc available during our stay. We also appreciated the ease of check-in. If you are looking for somewhere quiet, this is not the best choice as there is a busy family upstairs. If you prefer a firm mattress, this may not be your best choice as we found it to be too soft. The living room furniture looks nice, but is not the most comfortable for a movie night in. Other than that, we felt it was good value for money. "
