"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. "what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. "The property is disgusting which we kind of expected from the reviews, we were only staying for 1 night so thought we'd take the risk, we definitely wouldn't have wanted to stay longer than 1 night though! The area was lovely, kept the kids busy all day with a bouncy castle, beach and park, unfortunately the water slide wasn't open though. The restaurant and staff were really friendly and helpful. "
