The Club House Hotel

"Please note there is no lift/elevator and to get to the lobby or to any room requires you to climb stairs (often many stairs), so there is an accesbility restriction you need to be aware of before booking. The property is decently well maintained and has been updated l, though it retains a lot of its historic charm, including newspaper clippings on the wall of its history. The rooms are small, but clean and serviceable, and the bed was comfortable enough. The hotel location is excellent, a 5 min walk from basically anything you need and only a 2 minute walk from the inter-city bus stops. Breakfast offers several options and they can accommodate dietary restrictions within reason. Staff were helpful and accommodating."

"The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful. Warm, helpful and friendly. The parking is conveniently at the back of the hotel. Very easy then to walk everywhere in Kilkenny. This hotel stood out due to the exceptional helpfulness of staff."

"What a quaint old hotel! A truly remarkable place. It is convenient and walkable to town events and a town festival was right up the street. The pub had live music daily and the food was great. There is parking close by which was a plus for being in town"

"Overall fine, however there is no air conditioning. I was told it’s a rarity in most Irish hotels - and even their homes. They did provide a fan on request. Bed somewhat hard for my curvy body. The included breakfast was great - full Irish breakfast if you want."
