Overall great stay. It’s very close to a tram and bus stop and relatively close to an U bahn station. There is a small shopping centre close by with a couple stores and restaurants. The room was comfortable enough. I do wish there was a/c as it was very warm in our rooms most nights and the lowest setting didn’t cool it off much. There is a main power switch that also turns on the lights above bathroom. So it meant that if you wanted a small reading light at night you also had to have the blaring

Great spacious rooms

I loved the room, it was modern and spacious. Nice big shower. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet, however it’s a bit of a walk to get to the closest subway station. Overall had a great stay, the only (minor) thing is cleaning service never emptied our trash can nor gave us new coffee in the room. Other than that, great experience!

The hotel was nice, but not conveniently located, it was a 15 minute walk to the nearest subway station. As an American, none of the staff spoke much English. Or could help us with any type of directions or amenities in English? The rooms were clean, but there was no air condition. We were on vacation, we were very excited to be in Germany and did not need to be catered to But some of the amenities were limited, such as only German channels on television, At breakfast, all of the food labeled in German. At the hotel, such as the fitness center. Was only labeled in German. When I asked the staff for more bacon, she did not understand what I was saying, even though she was putting the food out and we were standing right next to the empty bacon container, and we did not feel safe if there was some type of emergency due to the lack of communication in our own language.

We’ve had a pleasant stay at Novotel. The staff was courteous, the amenities were ok, and the ambiance was delightful. However, there was an incident that left a sour note in an otherwise pleasant stay. Upon my check-in night, we were greeted by an unwelcome guest, a cockroach in the room. Naturally, this was an unpleasant surprise and not something one expects in a hotel of this caliber. When I reported the incident to the administrator on duty, I was disheartened by their initial response. They seemed to try and shift the blame onto me, suggesting that the insect had entered when we opened an outside window. ( I was explicit in my explanation that it was my first room entry and no opening windows). While I understand that bugs can find their way into any space, I found this explanation lacking in accountability and not customer friendly practice. Apart from this unfortunate incident, stay was quite comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed.
