"Value and amenities doesn’t match the price Beautiful hotel with historical charm. Ideal for a daily visit/ tour or a very short stay. Some staff could be a bit warmer and more welcoming. Mattress could be updated for comfort. Patio could be maintained more. Also, would recommend candles for insects. The modern updates clash with historical charm. Lighting abnormalities in room. Water marks in bathroom ceiling. Bathroom shower not user friendly - prone to flooding bathroom. Overall a 3/5 experience in a beautiful and unique hotel."

"This was an interesting stay. The location is absolutely perfect if you want to be based in old San Juan - steps from everything and wonderful. It absolutely MATTERS what type of room you choose, though. I chose a standard room for two and it was a bit small. We did receive two bath and two beach towels per person, but if you want more, you need to call or message through the app to get additional towels and clean linens. Note there is NO daily housekeeping - if you request clean towels and linens, they do arrive outside your door in a plastic bag and you have to make the bed yourself. You also have to take out the garbage to dumpsters across the street when you check out, so this is more like an airbnb than it is a hotel, even though this is listed on hotels.com. The building is very old and has a musty odor. However, the location is perfect for old San Juan and the AC works very well. It all depends on what you are looking for."
