Highly Recommended for families or smaller groups

"I had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The cottage has all you need like home from home. It is located just a few metres from the sea with the Connemara mountains in the distance. Its idea for exploring the rugged coast, the mountains, the fjord and lochs. With many walks to enjoy. There is a nearby pub that serves great food. John and Mairead are super hosts.John keeps a distant but watchful eye and would be there to help should the need arise. I would recommend for families or smaller group. I spent a month there and was sad to leave. Thank you John it was a pleasure to have met you and to stay at your wonderful cottage."

Fantastic Stay at the Stone House

"We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years and I can easily say that this one has been the best. The Stone House prives that a rental can be even better than the pictures show. When we first saw this on VRBO, the whole family agreed that it was the ine for us and it did not disappoint. Communication, check in, the stay, and checkout were all a breeze. The house itself and its surroundings simply exemplify the magic of Ireland's western coast. If you are even considering staying at the Stone House, don't let it get away. Our stay was simply perfect!"

A Quiet and Elegant Homebase Only 30 Minutes from Galway

"My husband and I spent several days in this lovely converted cowshed with our adult daughter in late October. Although our host had to travel to Japan the day of our arrival she had somehow found time to make us a welcoming cake, and left us in the very capable care of Bernie who checked in on us daily to make sure that we had everything we needed. And we did! There was easy driving access to restaurants and the city of Galway, but also lovely walks outside the door. We would highly recommend this beautiful cottage for a short or long-term stay."

"We loved our stay at the Blackberry Lodge. There was easy access to coffee and tea downstairs. The hosts were amazing and you could not go wrong by staying there. The beds were super comfortable. Once we figured out the water in the shower we had great water pressure and nice hot water. Would definitely stay again. "
