"This is an ideal hotel if you’re looking for a beachfront hotel and beach access is right across the street. The hotel in general is clean and staff is very helpful and attentive. I had an issue in my first room where the shower wasn’t draining properly and water trailed out into the room. Staff promptly had engineering come fix it, but it left the room with a sewage smell. Staff was prompt about the issue and upgraded my room immediately so that I could continue on with my vacation. This was much appreciated."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel initially, the property itself was great and I genuinely enjoyed my experience while I was there. Unfortunately, things completely changed after checkout when I was unexpectedly charged a smoking fee despite the fact that I do not smoke and never smoked let alone smoked in the room. What has been most disappointing is the lack of communication and customer service afterward. I called immediately and spoke with a receptionist who said the issue would be escalated, but I never received a callback. Since then, my calls have gone unanswered and no one has been willing to properly address or explain the charge. I understand hotels have policies in place, but falsely charging guests without clear communication or evidence and then ignoring attempts to resolve the issue is unacceptable. I hoped to settle this directly and professionally, but the lack of response has been extremely frustrating. I also need to share that while I was checking in I overheard the receptionist speaking badly about an African American woman who requested to see a room prior to booking it. This was not only unprofessional but very disrespectful especially when working in the hospitality industry. I would have happily recommended this hotel based on my stay alone, but the way this situation has been handled afterward has completely changed my impression."
