I rate places based on what they are. For a hostel, it was a good choice. There was a living room type area, where people were often hanging out, games, gaming systems and a bar. Things were showing their age in the common areas, but I had a private room and it was nice. Definitely bring ear plugs though because the buzzer on the door & door opening & closing were quite loud. Other than that, my bed & pillow were comfortable, the room was clean. Breakfast is free, but pretty limited ("American" cheese, cold cuts, toast, yogurt, cereal and some fruit). The staff is friendly, which is always helpful at a hostel. Also, there was good WiFi - also good in any hostel or hotel. The location is also near the port where several tours start from and the last stop for the airport shuttle.
