"Beautiful Location, relaxed atmosphere. Good sized room, if a little overpriced. Hotel was clean, toilets well serviced. Walls a little thin (or I had noisy neighbours :-) ) Reception Staff super helpful and friendly. Bar Staff and Bar Waitress faultless in helpfulness - Bar food (WH LOADED BURGER) arrived quickly and piping hot. Astons Breakfast (Sunday Morning) was fabulous, good selection. Hostess, waiters and waitresses - great job. Hotel Pool, Sauna and Steam, clean and perfect - changing rooms were OK. Jacuzzi was full (first come, first served) so did not use. Didn't use Day Spa or any treatments."

"Rooms are lovely. Had mini chandeliers as bedside lamps. Reception staff were very kind and helpful. Friendly atmosphere. Would stay again. "

"The stag couldn’t do enough for us, they are all exceptional. We were traveli g with 3 young children and staff were so helpful at breakfast. They brought over plastic bowls/plates/cups and offered to help carry hot drinks over while I was carrying a toddler Always so friendly when we passed the reception desk "

"Very comfortable stay & a friendly atmosphere. A fabulous homemade granola, fruit & yoghurt bowl for our breakfast. Plenty of other choices, but we went for it each morning. Hope to be back next year at the same time to meet with friends for The Veteran-Cycle Club Luncheon."

"We have just enjoyed a wonderful week's stay at Racing Retreat. The property is situated in a quiet area and it is only a short walk (perhaps 5-10 mins) into Towcester, where you will find a nice selection of shops and eating places. The property itself is warm, comfortable and is well appointed. There is a small garden and patio with furniture for sitting out if weather permits. The kitchen has everything you need if you are eating in, but if you fancy eating out, we would recommend Ten Hands or The Folly. Would definitely recommend Racing Retreat and wouldn't hesitate to visit again."

"It could do with more cleaning. The hallways were clean and smelled fresh but the room carpet needed deep cleaning with dust bunnies along the corner skating . The carpet looked discoloured and the floors creaked. The pillows were so flimsy and my duvet had a rip on the underside. There was so much hair all over the room and the beds were not comfortable at all. The bathroom tap was so difficult to open as if it hasnt been used in years. The bathtub space was so narrow my hips were touching the handbar and the shower curtain it was so disgusting even my little children complained about the tight squeeze. The breakfast was the only admirable part of my stay, even thought they kept mixing the orders. Check in and check out was ok."
