"What a wonderful time away we had! A great, well-appointed, superbly clean lodge in wonderful surroundings. Clive and Judeth were the perfect hosts. It was so good we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay. We're looking forward to visiting again. "

"We never met the host they contacted us by text, the area where the house was is lovely but the place its self was in need of a good clean and update on eveything curtains were hanging of some were thread bare carpets need replacing to be truthfull the whole house wants a good decorating."

"Beautiful place to stay!Beds and bed lining perfect & so comfortable..The let down was whoever is cleaning the property is not doing a very good job, down the side of the aga cooker is disgusting and the windows need a good clean inside and out all the covers in the game’s room are very badly stained and need to be cleaned. Just a thorough deep clean would be most welcome as it’s a beautiful cottage and lovely peaceful place to stay. Upstairs was not a problem showers were great as were the towels everyone slept amazing well..Would I book again, perhaps! 7/10 "

"Disappointing stay - room was described as 'deluxe' but was on the small side and being up in the eaves of the roof meant one of us had to duck to get in and out of bed. No turn down / refresh on day 1, no waste bin, small but basic things - especially at the price paid. Staff although friendly, were difficult to find (only available via WhatsApp ??), reception never staffed. Overall a great a shame as the hotel has a beautiful setting and grounds. We wint be returning. "

"Ash Lodge is well equipped with everything that you could possibly need.The fixtures & fittings are excellent & high quality.Especially important for us were 2 en-suite bedrooms.The view from the windows was lovely, but the proximity of the trees do make it a little dark inside.The owners are extremely helpful & instantly available.We had a lovely holiday."
