I am not sure if this property is handicapped accessible. If it is, it is not evident. Straight out of reception are stairs that are required to access all rooms. The rooms are clean and functional, but there are definitely signs of ware and more repair would not hurt. My room was on the second floor, street level, and I heard street noises all night, and a 3am wake up call by someone screaming in the hallway. I couldn’t sleep very well, anyways, because the blinds did not block any of the street lights and it perpetually seemed like dawn. Luckily, no one needed the 5am airport shuttle, since it was parked just outside my window. I took the airport shuttle, so I am not sure about parking, but it does not look plentiful.

I reserved my booking through Expedia to stay at Quality Inn on Rockaway Blvd. I scheduled April 16-19 to “pay at the hotel”. I received a few text and email messages about whether time was check in and so on. To my surprise I was alerted by my bank that Quality Inn management took money for the stay from my account and I hadn’t even arrived or checked in at the property as yet. I do not believe my account should have been credited before I arrived or checked in at Quality Inn stated. This practice raise several ethical and legal questions and I will be reporting this property to the better business bureau. I also have other concerns as parking is not free or discounted. Who wants to pay $25 per night for parking. The room that I am currently staying in has a broken a/c heater unit, the refrigerator cannot be opened as it’s on a tray and has to be lifted up. I paid nearly $700 to stay at this property. This is the place I chose yearly when I visit to do my annual physical but no more. I will not be visiting this establishment ever again even though it’s at a convenient location. Choice Hotels don’t address issues. They sweep them under the rug and don’t act.
