The Hotel was absolutely fabulous & certainly lived up to expectations , We had a suite on the 14th floor . The Housekeeping was brilliant & the suite was extremely comfortable . The staff could not have been more professional , helpful & informative . I cannot name them all but Barbara on Reception . Sergio & Zak in the Lex Bar & as we were celebrating a birthday we booked a table in the upstairs area of the Lex Bar & had the most beautiful meal . Nicely cooked & well presented & our server was Iuleia , who could not have been more helpful if she tried . This was a special birthday treat & the Hotel were very generous with little treats that made it even more special . Location was also key as outside of the Hotel it was extremely easy to walk everywhere & to get out & about to see all the sights you would expect to see & visit in New York . If you needed a cab , the very helpful chaps outside would do that for you . In short - fantastic .

The iconic Waldorf Astoria exceeded every expectation my wife and I had going into our visit. We were treated like royalty the moment we arrived. Everything about the hotel was simply perfect. Drinks in Peacock Alley were superb and breakfast in the new Lex Yard was outstanding. I truly believe this is a hotel that everyone needs to experience at least once in their lifetime. Absolutely worth every penny!

The Waldorf Astoria felt far more focused on being an Instagram backdrop than delivering a truly exceptional luxury hotel experience. The property is undeniably beautiful, but the substance did not match the hype or the price point. Service was inconsistent and lacked the attentiveness and sophistication you would expect from a world-class New York hotel. Much of the atmosphere seemed geared toward influencers and TikTok content creation rather than discerning travelers looking for comfort, elegance, and a meaningful enhancement to their NYC visit. At these rates, I expected timeless luxury, seamless service, and a sense of hospitality that elevated the experience. Instead, it often felt performative and transactional. There are many hotels in New York that deliver far better value, stronger service, and a more authentic luxury experience.
