"A traditional old style public house. We enjoyed our stay. The room was as expected, clean and tidy, and we were pleased to have a full bath in the ensuite. The location is perfect, being very central to all the local amenities and shops. The employees were friendly, professional and they made the environment feel good. The food was typical of a Greene King pub, reasonably priced and thoroughly enjoyed! I would recommend a stay here, if you enjoy traditional style, central location ( with good parking outside), traditional English foods and beautiful walks nearby."

"The hotel was beautifully decorated and had a very authentic feel. The staff were lovely, so polite and welcoming, willing to answer any questions and help you when needed. It was located in the centre of Bakewell near all the shops and bus stops. It was the perfect place to stay while in Bakewell."

"Lovely little cottage. Great residential neighbours. A very social garden, as everyone sits outside in the sun. Friendly local cat came & around every day. The kitchen is a bit awkward, as it's a squeeze around the table, but overall the cottage was well proportioned. It's over 4 floors, so lots of stairs, but we l8ved how quirky it was. My son (6yrs) immediately wanted to explore. The bedrooms were airy & spacious. A modern styled double bedroom with compact ensuite (with shower) in 2nd floor attic. 1st floor had a large twin room overlooking the gardens at the front, and the family bathroom with shower over bath was on same floor. Ground floor was kitchen & living room. Basement houses utility room and opens on to the small courtyard at rear. Easy walk to town (10 mins). Close to woodland (2 mins). Easy cut through down to a local park with playground (10 mins). It was a great base for the week."

"Ein uriges Cottage im Herzen von Bakewell. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Touren durch den Peak District mit vielen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und gemütlichen Pubs. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen! Aufgrund des alten Gemäuers hat es sich im Sommer im Cottage gut aufgeheizt, aber es war auszuhalten. Das Cottage lässt keine Wünsche offen und hat eine großzügige Ausstattung. Lediglich die Zufahrt/Parksituation sowie das Badezimmer waren herausfordernd, aber wenn man in einem solch wunderschönen Haus wohnen darf, dann nimmt man das gerne in Kauf. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Vielen Dank an unsere tolle Gastgeberin Liz!"
