When getting to your destination you can go through really nice areas and really BAD areas. North Charleston lives up to that reputation. We did find some great places to eat and had fun at the country bar.

I really enjoyed the local food options. It looks a little unsafe around the property, so I wouldn't suggest walking nearby. However I never felt unsafe, just seemed a little questionable at times.

Improvements are constantly being made to the N. Charleston area. It's great to see and witness especially when you are visiting your college student and know what it used to be 30+ years ago!

Many options for dining. Close to Charleston But enough away from the hubbub to be glad to come back to at night. We stayed 5 nights and would definitely come again!

"This place was wonderful. It was clean, and the staff working the front desk were so pleasant and helpful. One young lady at the desk was named Danielle. I shot video footage of the room and throughout the building. I was super impressed and will stay here anytime I am in Charleston."
"From the moment we booked, it became a joke between me and my husband that we would show up and there would be nothing but a parking lot. We had never come across a 10 star hotel with such great reviews. Let me just say - we were WRONG! From the moment we checked into this beautiful hotel we were greeted with the kindest staff for the entire five days we stayed.
We booked a king room on the fifth floor, which was very spacious and clean. Mattress and pillows gave a great nights sleep. The only issue (which we learned later they are working on) was that our blower blew the lights in the bathroom, but worked in the living space so it was fine. Kelly explained they are taking notes in the types of blowers and which outlets they aren't working in. They are on top of everything!
The managers John and Luc went above and beyond to speak to EVERY SINGLE GUEST at breakfast and Kick Back (FREE DRINK AND DINNER!). We watched Luc jump into the pool to pull out a struggling child - he never hesitated!
The pool area is gorgeous and there is plenty of space to sit and eat a doordashed dinner or fare from the restaurant. The hot tub was massive and great to talk with other guests. Michael, Craig, and Kareen(sp?) keep the area immaculate and NO CHLORINE STINK.
Paris and Jessica were so kind and attentive. We just cannot say enough about this chain that we never knew existed. We joined the rewards club and hope to stay at another Drury soon. Way to go guys, you made our trip FABULOUS! "
"Location was great for our main reason for coming…to see Nate Bargatze at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. It also was a pretty good spot for going into Charleston a couple of times during the weekend. Front desk was so friendly and recommended a great restaurant (Fratellos) in the Park Circle neighborhood.
Hotel was clean and comfortable and safe. Best find was the bar…really the bartender. He served standard drinks for the guys and concocted specialty drinks for the ladies after asking a lot about what we like. He used fresh fruits and herbs and chatted while he worked. It was obvious he enjoys his work and was really a cut any routine bartender."
