"Front desk staff were very friendly and got us checked in quickly. Our room was clean and nice, but small. We had a 1 bedroom with separate living room & kitchen area. The kitchen area was very small and the round dining table was crowded. Refrigerator was a good size and dishwasher was great. Very little kitchen counter space. The paper towel holder was on the counter, which could be mounted on the wall to give more counter space. The bedroom was small and had a very tiny closet and not much drawer space for clothes. We were on the first floor and the kiddie play area was right in front of our room, but honestly not many kids were playing on it. So it wasn't really too disturbing. Overall, we enjoyed our week at Carlsbad Seapoint Resort. The beach/ocean is right across the street. A short walk from the resort. Very nice grassy areas to have family gatherings, with picnic tables and BBQs. The main town/shopping area is a short drive down the road, maybe 5 miles. Lots of restaurants. Be aware of time limits on parking. Would highly recommend this resort and we would return if we come back to Carlsbad."
