"The location is great The staff is very accomodating to reguest and offer help in a passionate way. I was traveling alone and they helped plan my days by giving me places to visit and food options while there My luggage didn’t arrive for 3 days and they told me where to go for clothing as well as called the airlines for updates. The restaurant had no problems with me desiring to eat in my room instead of the establishment. Will stay there again on return "

"This is a lovely, old and authentically furnished, family house, with wonderful views over the sea and the countryside and a huge garden with many nooks and crannies. There is a lot of space and the owners provide everything that you might need for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen, copious hot water, wifi and firewood. The owners met us on site to show us around and were very chatty and helpful and also provided some basic foods for our arrival, which we much appreciated. The house is in an excellent spot for touring the island; quiet but also close enough to Lagoa to collect supplies or eat out. Given that we visited in the winter, we also found out that the house is probably in one of the warmest and most sheltered areas of the island! We would thoroughly recommend the Casa. "

"We loved our stay at Casa do Monte! The house and surrounding gardens were beautiful, and the view of Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo from the garden was absolutely breathtaking. The house had everything we needed—the kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary appliances, dishware, and cooking utensils.It was a little chilly during our stay, and the host had thoughtfully provided space heaters for each bedroom, which we really appreciated. Communication with the host was excellent; they promptly answered all of our questions and even suggested activities and great places to eat on the island.On our last day, we had a minor mishap while rushing to the airport. Although we of course took responsibility, we were truly impressed by the host’s professional and courteous response. It was clear they genuinely care about their guests and the experience they provide. We felt well taken care of from start to finish and highly recommend Casa do Monte to anyone visiting the island."

"The Cozy Apartment on the South Coast (Het Boetje) was a great choice. It’s on the edge of Lagoa, just a short walk to the ocean path. The apartment was super comfortable, especially the living room. It was the perfect size for us, well-designed, decorated, furnished, and absolutely immaculate. There are two outdoor sitting areas, both with incredible views of the ocean. We enjoyed a glass of wine every evening on the upper deck. The shower was A and the kitchen had all necessities. Parking was super easy, the spot in front of the apartment was always open. The apartment and neighborhood were perfectly quiet. The neighborhood was safe and secure. The washing machine was quick. The owner was warm and welcoming; check-in and check-out were flawless. As frequent travelers, we always appreciate attention to details, and the apartment was clearly presented by someone who knows travelers’ needs. Thank you!!!"

"The view was absolutely incredible. The staff — especially the man at the front desk — was extremely attentive, professional, and cheerful. The hotel itself was just amazing. The view from the room at the back was breathtaking. What I liked less was that the mattress was, for me, way too firm — or maybe just old and worn out."
