I got invited to take pictures at a very special Day of the Dead ceremony in 3 Reyes—a small Mayan community in the state of Yucatan. To witness this side of my own country, relatively unknown to the most of us, is such a beautiful feeling!
Hanal Pixan stands for "The Feast of Souls"; and you can clearly appreciate that fact in every altar around 3 Reyes.

The facility is interesting, feeling a bit like a monastery rather than a traditional hotel. The finishing is all simple, but clean and functional.
