"Couldn’t recommend this hotel more! We had an amazing stay at Maisha, the staff were an absolute highlight for us and really made the trip special. A huge shout out to Edward who was always a friendly face with warm conversation and made the best drinks at the bar, he really made our trip memorable! We loved the beach bar and the food and drinks were great. I highly recommend using the TukTuk service to visit local Nungwi & Kendwa beaches, it costs a couple of dollars and is very worth it. The drivers are great and can pick you up whenever needed. The staff are really helpful if you have any questions or need any recommendations on what to do on the island. "Property is beautiful but there is no swimmable beach. They have a shuttle to another resort but they only do it twice a day, You have to pay $10 each but it is consummable, You can use the chairs and umbrellas but by the time you get there after 11 they are all occupied, if you don’t care about the beach then its ok. They have a nice pool and a jetty."

"Property grounds were nice. Rooms are a bit dated. The TV and telephone in our room did not work. Manager at reception was very accommodating and made our stay much better. The massages were excellent. Highly recommend them.! Wifi is awful! Love the balconies! The other downside is the beach, the beach is beautiful but you have to pay 25$ for 2 chairs and umbrella every day if you want to be on the beach. Otherwise they do have beach chairs on man made beach near infinity pool. Just depends on your preference! Food is ok. Nothing to rave about but something for everyone!"
