Living in a wooden sculpture: welcome to the Ufogel! This is not an off-the-peg house, but rather a residential sculpture that reveals itself to be a spatial marvel when you enter. A spacious, bridge-like entrance is the only connection to the seemingly floating building. When you sit, lie down or share a meal in the Ufogel, two things are always present: the wood and the sky.
In Nussdorf, around 1 km from the Zettersfeld ski area, you are greeted by a beautifully designed wooden house with large windows and panoramic views of the Lienz Dolomites. The Ufogel is an extraordinary house, comfortably furnished and made almost entirely from larch wood. Its shape gives this building its name. Sometimes it looks like a primeval bird, sometimes like a home from another planet, but always like something special. The Ufogel offers both openness and security. The large panoramic window brings the landscape in and conveys the feeling of still being outdoors. In contrast, the round shell offers a cosy, woody sense of security. It turns the Ufogel into a "shelter", with all its warmth and rusticity, with healthy sleep and the feeling of returning to the origins of living.
The ideal occupancy in the Ufogel is two adults and 2 - 3 children.
The nearest shop and restaurant are 500 metres away. There is a tennis court and a sauna within a 5-minute walk. Lienz railway station is 2 km from the house. The Ufogel can be reached by car all year round and there are plenty of parking spaces right next to the hut. If you need help during your holiday, the hut manager, who lives next door, will be happy to help you.

The scent of natural wood makes a holiday in the Ufogel particularly enjoyable. With a living space of 45 square metres, there is plenty of room for up to five guests. The ideal occupancy in the Ufogel is two adults and 2 - 3 children.
The spacious eat-in kitchen with stylish kitchenette, sink and fully equipped kitchenette leaves nothing to be desired. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, an oven, a fridge with freezer compartment, a Nespresso coffee machine, a toaster and a kettle. A wood-burning stove with hob completes the kitchen and spreads cosy warmth throughout the cabin. The wooden dining table seats all guests comfortably and offers a fantastic view of the mountains of East Tyrol. Under the large panoramic window, the soft cushions made from natural fabric provide a cosy spot for relaxing and restful evenings in the hut.
The sleeping areas are located on the open gallery. The beds in the Ufogel are divided into a spacious double bed made of Swiss stone pine and another bunk bed for two people.
The barrier-free bathroom, with a view of the East Tyrolean mountains, makes showering an experience. The Ufogel is equipped with underfloor heating, which can optionally be supplemented by a wood-burning stove. A fully automatic sun protection system is installed for hot summer days, which can also be operated manually if required. In addition, an air conditioning system ensures a pleasant living climate. For entertainment, guests of the Ufogel have access to satellite TV, a radio with CD player and free Wi-Fi throughout the holiday cabin.

Location description : The market town of Nußdorf-Debant is located on the "sunny side" of the Lienz valley floor, approx. 4 km from the district capital of Lienz. The proximity to the town as well as a wide range of cultural and sporting activities have made Nußdorf-Debant a popular holiday destination. More than half of the municipal area lies within the Hohe Tauern National Park. In particular, the ideal location at the foot of the wild and romantic Debanttal valley has made the village an insider tip for nature lovers. The Debanttal valley is little developed for tourism and is mainly visited by hikers. The Wiener Höhenweg trail in the east, starting from the Winklerner Hütte, and the Lienzer Höhenweg trail starting at the Zettersfeld in the west serve as access points. Both paths lead to the Lienzer Hütte, the only mountain hut in the Debanttal. In addition to mountaineers, the Debanttal can also be used by cyclists to reach the Lienzer Hütte. Due to its remote location and low tourist utilisation, the Debanttal valley is very rich in wildlife and is home to one of the areas with the most red deer in the Hohe Tauern National Park. In addition to red deer, roe deer and chamois, there is also a high population of marmots. Ibex from Kals am Großglockner or Heiligenblut also sporadically visit the Debanttal. There are two golden eagle nests in the Debanttal and bearded vultures can occasionally be seen. Lynx can also be found in the Debanttal.
In addition to a wide range of catering options, including cafés, restaurants, a pizzeria and a rustic night pub, the "Aguntum" open-air museum with its newly constructed museum building is located in the immediate vicinity of the municipality for those interested in culture. This is a reminder of the important trading town of Aguntum, which was once built by the Romans on parts of the municipal area of Nussdorf-Debant. Golfers also get their money's worth at the Dolomitengolf Osttirol golf club in Lavant. The 27-hole championship course is one of the most popular golf courses in Austria, mainly due to its location, the magnificent view of the Lienz Dolomites and the unique course variations.
