Hotel Review
Our stay was overall very pleasant. The staff were great—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The rooms were large, spacious, and well-appointed, and we appreciated being accommodated for a room change to get a better view. The amount of closet space in the suite was also fantastic, which is a rare treat in most hotels.
The food was very good, especially the salads, which were fresh and full of flavour. Some of the meats, however, were a bit hit or miss—some lacked tenderness or depth of taste—but overall the dining experience was enjoyable. Would be nice to have real juices as well.
One area that could be improved is housekeeping. The cleaning style followed what I was told is more of an American approach, where the beds aren’t crisply made—more of a “cover pulled over” look. Once I realised that, I ended up making the bed myself to get it looking neater. There were also a few minor details missed, like wine stains on the table that hadn’t been wiped properly. If that’s the intended cleaning style, it might be helpful for guests to have some basic cleaning supplies available, though ideally, surfaces should just be cleaned as part of the service.

The location and room and amenities and staff were amazing! The resort is a well run operation with staff that are very supportive and able to answer. Any questions you have. The breakfast buffet was definitely a five star feature and while we were only able to stay for a couple of days we would definitely go back there again and recommend to others. We did have a car rental so we’re able to venture out further than the local area but if you didn’t, you could still walk to the three or four feature beaches to see the caves and grotto that are nearby. A highlight of our 15 day vacation!

We had an excellent stay. The only problem we had during our stay was with an ant infestation in our room. We were moved to another room efficiently by the staff and then enjoyed the rest of our stay. Thank you for an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn, Albufeira
