"Overally it’s okay and I’d recommend it unless you plan to spend lots of time indoors. The cleaning service didn’t do so much of a cleaning in my understanding of “clean” but the staff is very kind and helpful. Nice pool outdoors. Lots of free parking places outdoors and underground as well which ..."
Great apartment in quiet area, but close to everything
"Great view, very clean and exactly like the photos. 1 mimute to beach and good local restaurants. Friendly and efficient key handover. Enquire about heating if staying over winter months as it was starting to get chilly late october at night."

Great family friendly hotel perfect for exploring
"Lovely hotel with great personal service, were even given fresh figs by owner! Great location about 10 minutes from Vilamoura and Albufeira. BBQ’s next to pool were a great bonus too. Would definitely go back. Would recommend asking for B6 or B7 for a one bedroom apartment with great private area ..."

4.4/5 Wonderful! (17 reviews)
"My family very much enjoyed our stay at Monte Dos Avos and our children couldn't get enough of the beautiful yard and pool. We had great weather and they loved swimming at the end of the day after we had gone out exploring. Our room was very comfortable and we had the space we needed for a family ..."
"Vila Petra is far from the beach - it's closer to the city center (not a 4 min walk as advertised). The hotel street is hard to find. We had to stop and ask the locals for it...very confusing. The reception staff was welcoming and they say they will send you an email with the hotel's info (rest.&pool ..."

Comfortable, Stress Free, easy access to Pool and Beaches, loads of parking space Only disappointment was the cost of the drinks in the bar, this just lead to us going out for food and drink which ..."

"The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and accomodating. The hotel was close to the beach and restaurants, all within easy walking distance. Overall very impressed with the facility and intend to return in the near future."

"Bear in mind, this was off peak, the hotel and the area was relatively quiet. Having said that, it was exactly what we would prefer, no queues, easy access to facilities, no wait for loungers etc. The property is in a prime location, with easy access to the local beach, the nearby shops (top tip to buy some breakfast items, teabags, coffee, milk etc as there is a kitchen) restaurants and the strip. It's perfect if you need the convenience but not if you want to be remote and away from anyone else, your choice but I prefer the bustle, activity and signs of life. There is free parking just outside on the streets but can imagine high demand during busy times. The hotel has a private car park but limited to about 5 cars and requires daily payment but worth it.
The apartment is kept clean and towels changed daily. There is a small, stocked kitchen with microwave, cutlery and crockery. The rooms are large and spacious. There is a separate bedroom and lounge, dining area and a personal balcony. We had a sea view and it was glorious to sit and have a relaxing breakfast in the sunshine each day. The pool area has a bar with music, ideal to relax and enjoy.
To offset the chill at night, there are wall heater units in the bedroom and lounge.
Only minor downside, there are signs of age and wet mould in some of the grout around the shower unit but nothing really off putting.
Overall, highly recommend this aparthotel if you want to be in the thick of it but still have some personal idyll"
"Really good hotel for self catering, staff very helpful and friendly.
Kitchen facilities particularly good!
Only caveat is you would need a car for transport unless you want to walk long distances.
Only issue with room, chairs uncomfortable and fragile."
