"My family and I absolutely loved this VRBO. If I was younger (I’m now retired) and needed an apartment, this is EXACTLY what I would be looking for. The bedroom with the pink accents was my favorite. Very clean, nice neighborhood, felt safe. Would definitely love to stay here again if I’m in the area. One thing….i am short, 5’ tall, perhaps a small stepping stool to get onto the beds would be a nice touch."

"This was my family's 2nd Vrbo experience and by far the best! We stayed here during our visit to Point Pleasant and Mothman Museum. Vrbo properties on the W. Virginia did not offer the amenties our family sought. Runaway Retreat was a slice of peace and quiet! The deck/porch brought the outdoors to us. The spacious family room provided individual lounging space during family time. Everything we needed was there! Thanks!"

"We enjoyed our overnight stay at “Our Little House on the Corner.” We were in town for one night to attend a wedding, and the house had everything we (5 of us) needed. Beds were comfortable, communication with owner was exceptional, and ease of checking in and checking out was excellent. Highly recommend."

"We waited a little late to make our reservation for the festival in Ashland KY and had an hour drive both ways. Turned out to be very fortuitous! We loved the property! Wonderful accommodations! Nice three room upstairs apartment in an old historic house by the river. Clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lots of fun history in the small town of Point Pleasant. Don’t miss The Mothman statue and museum!"

"Second time at this property and will continue to book it when I am in town. Just off the beaten path enough to feel like you are alone in the country but close enough to be at WalMart inside 5 min. Well appointed with everything you need for a short or longer stay. Clean and easy entry. Owner keeps the place very nice. Well worth it"
