The Silver Springs Lakefront Cottage - with Canoe

"Great lake house. We really enjoyed staying there. The house needs some special attention to many stains on curtains and pillows were gross on couch. It seems that the comforter in 2nd bedroom were used with strange white stains & lots of hairs on it so my son slept in the 3rd room. Other than listed above, the house was clean. The beds are really high and was hard for me to get into and I'm 5' 8" but everyone else in my party are 6' plus. Kitchen was great & well equipped. We had everything we needed to grill and cook in the house. The back deck was wonderful to hang out on with our small dogs. Once the sun goes down there was spiders galore everywhere. The paddle boat was broken so we had to fix it to take out. The sun cover on it is no longer there. We were hoping for some great fishing but it was just ok. People were swimming in it but we didn't. The bottom was mucky. This house was centrally located. Great jeep trails(mins away), silver spring kayaking(10 mins away), salt springs for tubing(20 mins). Great restaurant Mojo is 10 mins away but all other spots were closed early or not open when we were trying to find places to eat. All in all, it was a great mini great away."

"The property was clean and had the most gorgeous view of the lake! The outdoor space makes the home feel so much bigger and the kayaks and the hot tub would such a nice added touch! It was close to the grocery store, dump and Salt Springs restaurants. We would definitely rent this home again."

"We had a very fun time at this cabin. The property was as described and the photos showed accurate representation. It was located in a great place for day trips to silver springs and a handful of wonderful other springs that we had a great time checking out. I loved that is was dog friendly and enjoyed being able to bring the pups. The paddle boat was a lot of fun for me and my 9 yr old son and we used it several times (It is time for the foot pedal washers to be replaced because the boat was pulling in water upon pedaling - we saw replacement parts in the garage and thought to help change them but didn't have the tools to do so).A small recommended addition to property: an in site basket of marked beach towels "dog/lake friendly towels" - We did not want to risk ruining the white ones left for showers so we ended up going to the dollar general and purchasing a couple of our own cheap beach towels to use for the dogs after lake play. We didn't find the two beach towels on property until the end of our stay as they were tucked away on the bottom shelf of the kitchen pantry. A heads up for anyone that might have difficulty sitting low and getting back up - The main floor toilet is oddly very low to the floor - not a big deal for average users but it was tricky for my 75 yr old dad to use because getting back up was a challenge. Over all a great stay - a great time spent with the family - had everything we needed. P.S. the beds were good - very comfortable. )"
