Great hotel close the boardwalk and walking distance to nice restaurants and bars. One block from the beach.

Comfy stay!
The Thunderbird was a great place to stay for the weekend! The staff were super nice, and the room was comfy.

It was a nice stay, older interior, friendly staff, easy check-in, great complimentary coffee, eager to accommodate front desk. Outside pool clean and warm.

This place is older but updated enough and it is always exceptionally clean. They are always pleasant and so helpful. Their rates are reasonable and you are as close to the beach as you can get without being on the beach. Great value for the $$

I really wanted to like the property, but because the ceiling/floors are so thin, I literally got no sleep due to the people in the room above mine being so loud. Now, neither the way the built the property, nor how loud the other customers are, is not under the control of the current property manager, so nothing really could be done, but getting no sleep is frustrating.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The location is central to pretty much everything, and if you want to catch the bus it’s super close. It’s not super fancy but you’re not going to the beach to stay in the hotel room. The bed is comfy but I would recommend bringing your own pillow and blanket.

I saw many mixed reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect. Everything was fine. Of course, it is a motel, you shouldn't expect perfection but there was nothing wrong. The beds were fine. Theres complimentary shampoo, soap, etc in the bathroom. I didn't use the pool but my room overlooked it and it wasn't dirty. Yes there's sand in it but its the beach, and there was a man the next morning cleaning it. The bathroom linen is a little dingy and the washrags a little rough but not unusable. Staff was friendly. Beach access is right out the back of the building. I also read the rooms were musty but I had no problem with mine. I see no reason not to recommend this property.

Clean but won't be back
The place was clean and the front desk people were very friendly. However we won't be staying there again. First and most major problem was the toilet did not flush right. You had to hold the handle down for about 10 seconds and hope that what ever was in their went down. The tub was so little that you couldn't shower without the shower curtain clinging to you. The water would go Freezing cold to scolding hot. And the TV service was terrible. It wasnt just normal TV channels. Some type of free TV and it keep freezing up.
