"It is off the interstate 40 about 10 or 12 miles but worth the stay. It was comfortable, quiet and Cindi was the desk clerk, she was amazing. The breakfast was better than most. The prices are much better than Shawnee and a whole lot more relaxing."

"The hotel is unique and wonderful. It is an unmanned property, so you won’t necessarily see another person while you’re there. You’ll receive a door code when you arrive, and instructions on where to find the key to your room. There is a large common room with kitchen facilities and room to gather and relax. Our room was large, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The ceiling fan helped to keep us comfortable, as did the air conditioning unit with a remote control. Shampoo, conditioner body wash and hand soap were all provided, If we every happen to pass through Okemah, OK again, we will definitely stay at the Velvet Woody!"
