"Close to the train station which is why I chose it. About a 1 km walk to waterfront restaurants and bars. There is really not much nearby. Buffet breakfast pretty good. Bizarre system where you get a 7 digit access code for your room. Tip: photograph it on your phone."

"The room was dirty, all around the edges were full and thick with dust and dirt, gravel and stones, cobwebs all over. TV remote batteries were dead. Room taken an age to find. Hotel shower and mixer was poor with temperature and pressure control. It was the most expensive hotel I’ve booked for 7 hour quick stay over and the most disappointed I’ve been in many hotels I’ve stayed at. Never again."

"The staff are always helpful and friendly whenever we stay at this hotel, which is one reasons we stay here when in Ipswich. The rooms are adequately furnished and always clean and fresh. The breakfast is plentiful and the staff in the dining room keep it clean, tables are cleared and re-set quickly. Although it is just off the A14 it is a quiet location with good parking."

"In the interest of fairness I have stayed at this hotel before and I had a much better stay… won’t be going back. This time i was given a room in an annex to the property. It was the hottest night of the year and none of the windows in the room would stay open – the window framed looked rotten and locks didn’t work.The room was boiling and the fan was plugged right over the other side of the room and so was useless. The plug sockets either side of the bed were not UK standard so I couldn’t plug the fan in next to my bed nor could I plug in my phone next to the bed. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. Had a terrible night sleep. Went down to reception to ask to be moved. The receptionist said she couldn’t do anything for me. I went down again and asked for an extension cord so I could actually bring the fan close to my bed – the extension cord didn’t work. I had to return to reception yet again to get another extension cord that finally worked and the fan was able to move closer to my bed. It’s just too hard to work for a bad night sleep. On a sidenote, my son was also staying in the hotel and he also had no plugs near his bed so his fan was on the other side of the room and he couldn’t charge any of his tech or use his phone as it had to be plugged in far away from the bedside What hotel room doesn’t have plug sockets next to the bed? This is two rooms in the property two randomly assigned rooms both of them with no plugs. Definitely won’t be staying again."

"Apart from thd issue às to whether breakfast was included, my stay was excellent. Pool, room, servicing. bar ambience location were very good. The breakast experience was oùtstanding. Food was in abundance with good selection. So glad I had the breakfasts. The staff were really good. On the payment for breakfast...this was a difficult challenge. The reception guy was so calm unflustered and professional. Maybe someting needs to be clearer in the process as breakfasts were quitè expensive. Not to detract however...my overall experiencd was very good."
