"At dawn and dusk a herd of elk complete with the buck appeared in the grounds. Such a wonderful treat! This is on the edge of a very small town, so you may want to carefully plan meals with your day’s activities. We cooked most of the time but enjoyed wonderful Mojo’s pizza baked in a wood fired oven in the food truck in the center of Orick. The home was just perfect for us located right on the highway and in the middle of the national park so we had very easy access to all we wanted to do. The house had all the supplies we needed. Charlene was very responsive to our questions and provided helpful tips. This was in our top 3 most wonderful vacations."

"Kenu house is amazing!! It was very fresh, clean and cozy. Beds and linen were very comfortable. Kitchen was beautiful and well appointed. Charlene was very friendly, responsive and provided good information for local activities, both verbally, in the guest book and online before our arrival. The house is centrally located to the Redwoods, a few towns and many beaches, making it easy to do multiple activities each day while still having time to relax and enjoy the house. Big kitchen table for games, puzzles and meals. At night, we curled up on the couch to watch movies while enjoying the electric fireplace. Loved seeing the elk from our windows! Our group of 3 adults and 1 dog really enjoyed our time here! We definitely recommend Kenu house in the Heart of the Redwoods and would stay here again!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cottage was more spacious than expected and suited our needs. Well-stocked kitchen and lots of towels. Wish I'd paid better attention that there's no cooktop/stove but we made it work with bbq grill and ample-sized toaster oven. King size bed was best we've ever had in a vacay rental. Very short walk to harbor overlook where we took our chairs & coffee in mornings and wine in evenings."
