The let downs were the outside areas entering the property the steps were grubby and dirty so a bit offputting, also the outside patio area was unusable due to it being overgrown and dirty. INSIDE the only fault was lack of tv information and no visable welcome book in veiw. We found the book just by chance a black book on a black stool in the corner of the kitchen.put it in full veiw"

"I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. No noisy dining room nor rush to have table cleared away. All was at our pace which was what we wanted. A peaceful haven in a beautiful setting with the most friendly and helpful staff made this break first class. We wouldn’t go anywhere else should we visit the Lake District in future."

"Yes, very clean, helpful staff, excellent position in the town, good parking, great food by an enthusiastic capable, and innovative young chef. Lovely view over the estuary. Spacious room (The Porthole) with digital TV, strong wifi, tea and coffee etc. Very quiet. Super comfortable beds Yes, as others mention, there are minor imperfections. Very few hotels get everything right, but our stay was not impacted by anything. For example, a tap top was loose (but it worked ok) window stays were missing (but no impact on security or ventilation). This is a very old building which the owners maintain to a high standard despite additional difficulties due to age. Everything in the first paragraph makes up for any minor issues. And, a further factor - the fees per night are very reasonable. We have paid as much, with breakfast, to stay at a Premier Inn. Meal costs are very much in line with the other establishments in town."

"We loved our stay here. Beautifully clean and plenty of kitchen equipment. The little garden was secure for the dog and the Pheasant Inn was friendly and the food was very good. Five minute drive to Cartmel and similar to Grange. Very highly recommended"

"We had no problems all week. A card with explantion of tv remote would have been usefull. Lovely views from the balcony we even sat in the sun on a couple of days for our lunch which is good for this time of year.We love this site as caravaners but would also use the flat again."
