"Lovely position and inside rooms were good. The let downs were the outside areas entering the property the steps were grubby and dirty so a bit offputting, also the outside patio area was unusable due to it being overgrown and dirty. INSIDE the only fault was lack of tv information and no visable welcome book in veiw. We found the book just by chance a black book on a black stool in the corner of the kitchen.put it in full veiw"

"I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. No noisy dining room nor rush to have table cleared away. All was at our pace which was what we wanted. A peaceful haven in a beautiful setting with the most friendly and helpful staff made this break first class. We wouldn’t go anywhere else should we visit the Lake District in future."

"We loved our stay here. Beautifully clean and plenty of kitchen equipment. The little garden was secure for the dog and the Pheasant Inn was friendly and the food was very good. Five minute drive to Cartmel and similar to Grange. Very highly recommended"

"We enjoyed a three night stay here with our daughter, husband and two young grandchildren. The location is very peaceful and the views across Morecambe Bay are lovely. As others have noted, the driveway is quite narrow but if you follow the clear instructions provided in the email it is absolutely no problem ( we have a VW Transporter van). It's very handy for child friendly activities such as Grange-over-Sands promenade, Fell Foot Park, Sizergh Castle, Lakeside aquarium,Lake cruises and climbing Gummer's How, all of which we did. The tastefully decorated cottage was a warm and cosy base on a bitterly cold weekend. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the great bathrooms. The pub across the road is very handy too."
