"Nice Riad. A little far from the action but the overall stay was good. The lobby area was nice, outside beautiful. Near the airport but can’t really hear the planes. Rooms clean and very local. "

"We booked 2 nights via Expedia and shortly thereafter we got a personal email welcoming us and giving us instructions on how get to the riad (short walk from kasbah car park). We were warned that they had 2 cats, so we wrote back that I was allergic, but had had no problem so far at riads in Morocco. Upon arriving we were greeted by owners Azziz and Nathalie with customary mint tea and warm hospitality, plus an offer to help us book a tour the next day. The room two floors up was spotlessly...

"I stayed for one night and wished I had stayed longer! The hotel is totally perfect and the service from Pascal and his team was amazing. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The pool was perfect and the food was amazing. It was the best meal I had during a week in the area. I cannot rate this pace highly enough and thoroughly recommend it. I hope to return!"

Having a car enabled us to explore the south of morocco for one week which was amazing. Having breakfast in the kitchen with his family was just like being at home. They made us feel very welcome and we will defintely return if we are lucky enough to visit Ouazarate again."

"The Rose Noire is a good place to stay if you are the kind of person who likes being in the thick of the medina, down shady alleys, whilst also enjoying an oasis of calm and cleanliness. It is decorated to a very high standard. The wife of the house is excellent at front of house and was extremely helpful and engaging. The husband was not welcoming, not friendly, and rather useless when we asked any questions. I suppose running a riad in a location such as Ouarzazate, which is an ugly and boring...

"The hotel staff make all the difference in the world when it comes to one’s impression of a hotel. The hotel was just average: clean, comfortable bed, lots of parking available. But the concierge went out of his way in telling me where to go sightseeing and where to have dinner. Upon arrival, he offered mint tea while I waited to check in. I had a long 9 hour drive after I checked out and he even looked at my route to make sure I was ok. I can’t say the same about the alternate concierge though...

"We really enjoyed our stay. It is like an oasis in the desert. Very nice peaceful atmosphere, very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Children friendly, lovely swimming pool, outdoor gym, places to relax. Room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. If you hire a car and look for some quiet place away from busy town, this is definitely the best option."
