With new COVID-19 rules and measures to follow, travel looks a little different at present. These are some helpful things to know before you get on that plane to Pa Khlok:

• Find out the restrictions and rules in both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so check government advisories before booking.
• When you go through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to lower it briefly for ID purposes. Passengers who refuse to wear a mask may be fined and denied boarding.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it directly on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will need to be removed from your bag for X-ray screening.
• To reduce handling during screening, place items such as your phone, keys and wallet into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• If you're taking food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
