"Excellent hotel. Front desk staff were very nice and also helpful with our early check-ins on both of our stays which were seperated with a cruise between. Our room was very up to date with a beautiful view of The Sagrada Familia and downtown Barcelona.
Please don't dismiss the warnings about pickpockets in Barcelona. It happened to us at the Mercato on Las Ramblas. And there were two other groups of tourists filing police reports at the same time we were at the police station.
But we felt very safe in the area of Barcelona this hotel is located....Poblenou. There is a grocery store, tram station, subway station, numerous bus stops (we used them all), bars, parks, coffee shops located nearby.
We ate at both the breakfast downstairs and the bar upstairs and the food and drinks were delicious.
Highly recommend this hotel if you don't want to stay in the Gothic downtown of Barcelona. "
