"We needed to be close to the Conference center so very convenient. Bed was very comfortable, very quiet rooms. We loved the access to the beach. We also went to nearby Poblenou which felt less touristy and more ‘local’. Nice and convenient mall at Diagonal. Staff was very nice and helpful when we had questions"

"Mediocre room, no space to maneuver with a family of four. A sofa bed and a queen size bed left just enough room to walk around the beds. Breakfast was what was expected for a free meal. The proximity to Bogatell beach was nice. We were able to walk to Las Ramblas de Poblenou and walk to the beach. That was the highlight. The area is very quiet and off the beaten path."

"Overall a very clean place. The front desk staff could be more welcoming and tell you more about the amenities. I feel they shouldn't close the pool for private events, when spending so much for staying multiple days. Also ice machines do not work on each floor, had to go to the 9th floor bar for ice & overpriced water bottles. But overall clean and the bartenders were actually friendly."

"Breakfast was amazing. Something we looked forward to every single day!! It has made us look forward to returning to BCN and staying here. Best hotel and breakfast we’ve stayed in in Europe. "I stayed in the Hoxton Edinburgh and loved it hence booking the Hoxton Poblenou. Our room was good but was right by the elevator and loud. It is a hub for digital and brand conferences/meetings and was geared towards younger people. No one working at the hotel was over 35 which made me as a 57 year old feel mis-represented. All the public spaces were comfortable in furnishings but loud in music and young people talking. The rooftop deck was similar in noise and the food was not of good quality. Because of this experience I can’t say I will stay at a Hoxton Hotel again unfortunately as my first experience was great."

"The gym and room size were great so I’ll start with the positives However I had a variety of issues at this hotel. The room was on the second floor and had many small and large flies inside the room. I brought this to the attention of staff my first day and was told they’d follow up but never did. Then my 3rd and 4th nights / mornings were interrupted by DRILLING that was going on with out any informed consent to staying in the room. The room felt unclean with the flies and I was unable to rest. They did offer me to move on my final night but I was unable to do so as it was my last day in Barcelona and busy and highly inconvenient for me to pack and then unpack and repack for the airport. The room on the second floor also had a view of a dirt pile and a direct window to the trash trucks at 5am waking me up on Monday and Tuesday morning I had to follow up three times with different staff members to finally get an answer. I asked for compensation for being unable to sleep in the room I paid for and was denied support. They offered me breakfast and late check out as if that is equal in compensation to my losses at the hotel. At 300 a night I’d expect more. And I was highly disappointed in the lack of follow up and basic comfort I was offered at this hotel."
